What do you think of these two tactics?

Personally, I think it's fine to sit atop a hill and snipe at oblivious tanks far away. They should know better.

As for cliff hanging, hiding on the edge of a cliff as you are smoking, it's also part of the game and takes a certain skill to pull off, but I don't like it when players hide on a cliff while healthy just to rack up points in survivor.

Who are the best snipers (long range shooters) and the best cliff hangers that you've seen?

Sniping is OK, but it's not as fun (for me) since I like to mix it up. Still, 3 hits from a heavy is a definite "knock knock knock" wake up call from across the map. I guess it depends on if there are enough tanks staying still long enough for the clip to be delivered.

Hmmm, so at what distance does shooting become a snipe?

Cliffhanging is something that bothers me for some reason. Sure, you last longer, but your team is one man short until you either fall or get rubbed out. In Survivor it just seems lame.

My favorite "move" is when I go flying over a cliff, but somehow manage to grab some traction. My opponent thinks I falling to my death when all of a sudden I pop back over the lip of the cliff and start emptying rounds into them. I just wish I had enough time to type, "SUPRISE!!!" XD

I cliffhang sometimes, and I am better at sniping than I am runnin' & gunnin' ;)

Nothing wrong with cliffhanging, as long as you are moving. At least then you are putting effort into something.

I hate it wen I cliffhang and I have the scrumball, cos I am BOUND to fall off sometime. Personally, I like snipering at still targets but since I have a 56k dial-up connection, it has become a very big hassel...
