Is it just a matter of timing or there is a special script on how to increase the firing rate?

Any changes to firerate will be universal
If you change your fire rate and join a server that doesnt have that enhancement
Your Tank.db will revert

If you change it and serve / host a mission then everyone gets the improvement

The best way is to have a decent machine - good video card and fast connection

Timing. As I told you! :)

Timing, no doubt about it. Some people have excellent reflexes, and others don't. My suggestion: just keep practicing on TBM servers (or camp in TS XD ) to improve your reflexes and aim.

However, if you want a real burst of excitement, try dial-up. It's an unknown varible which can either help or kill your timing, in extremely unusual ways sometimes... (Wait, dial-up has to be coded somehow, so maybe that counts as script... :P )
