Treavis,

Sorry FAR to simplistic.. Its really a mute point now.. The most important thing is to bring stability to the region to help proclude more trouble.. So in essense they are dying for freedom and to defend their country..

Does Africa maybe have nuclear bombs???

Thats why we went and to find saddam for the killings....

WHAT are you talking about?

The Iraqis come to us (the soldiers) and hug and even kiss them thanking them...

Who told you they didn't want us? The suicidals?

You need to hear the other side... The true side...

Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.

LGM

Did you see this?

Recounting a meeting of Prime Minister Tony Blair's national security team, the memo says the Bush administration believed that war was inevitable and was determined to use intelligence about weapons of mass destruction to justify the ouster of Saddam.

"The intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy," one of the participants was quoted as saying at the meeting, which took place just after British officials returned from Washington.

The president "may have deliberately deceived the United States to get us into a war," Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., said. "Was the president of the United States a fool or a knave?

If the facts were being manipulated to make a case for going to war, that would be misleading Congress. That is an impeachable offense. No one said Saddam wasn't a bad guy. The question is if Bush mislead us.

Treavis(SA),

I am sorry you feel that way. I think it is unfortunate that people feel the war is ONLY about oil.. Yes I will agree it has a part.. BUT to simplify the whole process to just for oil is far to simplistic and well not very educated... You need to remember the WHOLE world thought Saddam had Weapons of Mass Destruction.. Heck you sold them to him! So they didn't just disappear.... BOTH of the political parties in the states thought he had them including Clinton.. See his speeches... I again say it DOESN'T matter.. You ARE there.. END OF STORY.. Now clean up the mess.... If you think you can leave right now and have less problems I am afraid you are VERY misgiuded.... The world needs some stability in the region..

Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 12:15:02 PM

Yes Saddam is bad the world is better without him in power BUT we should pull out of Iraq now Saddam is no more... BUT Doc if you are saying BUSHY is a good president I think you are VERY mush mistaken. I guess you don't have any children or relatives there. THIS WAS NOT INEVITABLE. Like WWII. Also is it just me or why did BUSHY have Iraqi warlords look for Osama when he was cornered in the TORO BORO Mountains. (Hope I spelled it right or used to right mountain). Why not our armed forces. Well im sorry DOC but I guess I am misguided.

YOU think we should still stay in IRAQ ?????? IF you still think that YOU are the one who is misguided. As I said before the Iraqis DO NOT want our help anymore. ALSO how can you be happy that BUSH has misleaded us. THANK YOU BUSH my taxes will be MUCH MUCH higher when I grow up. Also why didn't Bushes idoit father capture Saddam in THE GULF war. Also (again lol) ever look at BUshy JUniors cumulative score at Yale LOL.

Bush had received a cumulative score of 77 for his first three years at Yale

Treavis,

I never said Bush was a good President.... Personally I am not sure if he is good or bad.... I am not an American.... We have our own problems with electing a good leader.... I also never said the war was inevidable.... What I said was the world thought Saddam has WMD.... He has used them in the past against his own people... I am not sure what connection you are using for the Bora Bora example but I don't think it pertains to this discussion.....

If you think by pullling out of Iraq now, without having a stable government in place and some peace in the region is a good idea.. I am afraid you have no idea of middle east politics.. There would quickly be a civil war and more people would hate your country than already do.. I am not one I might ad... I talk to Iraqi's that live here in Canada and they were very happy that you guys went in.. The problem is your country has very little experience in running country that you have defeated.. You need to learn from the British... I think that you will leave the area soon enough.... When the Iraqi government and military are built up better.. Then it will be safe for you to leave.. But again this has nothing to do with oil.. The world will sell you as much as you want..

Just look at what has happened in the region since you invaded.. The Syrians had finally pulled out of Lebanon.. Hmmmm.. Think they would have if you didn't have a large military in the area that could quickly be turned on them? They are now starting at arrest suspected terrorist for the first time EVER.. See its not JUST about oil..

As for his father.. This whole war would not have been neccesarry if you had of just continued on in the first Gulf war and captured the country.. BUT you listened to world politics and didn't.. Now you have an even bigger mess.. Just a thought..

Everyone.... Sigh... I have no view on this matter.
First tip of life : Dont trust the media... Its all biased to the point where "america" is the Super Hero in the situation.
I like Bush, but I dont support him.
I like america, but I am not to fond of its government....
The outlook most people have is the outlook the media gives them.

Treavis... I am sure that bush is not to blame.
As once said in an old movie I like, "The war shouldent be left to the generals".
I am sure your uncle took orders from someone else besides the president of the united states.
and instead of feeling sorry for yourself and bashing bush, be thankful for the people who arent dying. What about the people who went and survived?
Are you giving them any credit?
And what about bush, do you actually think Gore or Kerry could do a better job?
What about you? Are you over in Iraq fighting or are you in your precious air conditioning complaining about how the world could be better? Did you vote? Are you worthy of judging bush? Are putting effort towards making a difference?
As far as mistakes go, I'm sure I know a few people who would do worse.

All I really have to say is if it bugs you so much you have to complain about it here, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! Call someone, put together a charity for the people who dont have enough to complain about. Make the world better one way or the other. Dont just sit here and whine.

Treavis,

I quote you "IM FRIGGIN 11 YEARS OLD WTF DO YOU EXCEPT" please do not take this personally but I am afraid you do not have the life experiences to be in a thread this heavy.. I am not saying you are not smart or don't have an opinion.. I am saying your opinion is shaped by your youth and ignorance of the facts and of history.. Still love playin you in BM thought.. Lol... I do wish your family the best and a SAFE return from the war.. But if you think its bad now.. Just leave Iraq and watch how bad it gets when you need to go back in..

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 11:51:30 AM

Y'know, maybe we should just take the warning labels off things and let the problem take care of itself.

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 12:22:49 PM

@ Warfare what about the 25 other countries needing freedom LOL.

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 2:33:43 PM

@ Treavis(SA)
what about me saying junk about charity?
yes, those other countries need freedom, but if we help those countries, people like you will "act out" just like now with Iraq...
if we help those countries, there will be war. No questions. And people like you will make a big deal out of it saying we are killing the children of america...

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 3:53:37 PM

Why did we not choose to defend this countries instead of Iraq.... ?? Why wouldn't we help the Cuban's WHO are 90 miles off our shore.

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 5:17:34 PM

On the same page, helping the cubans would mean for us to at least invade them or for them to declare war.
to invade for "no reason" or going to war are bad things I hear...
Iraq kamikazi terrorists destroyed the world trade center. That is reason enough to at least invade Iraq.

Besides, we have a contract with cuba. And our politics cant do anything

Treavis, I completely understand your hate for Bush and I respect you fully as a friend, but for this flame war, you need to throw in the towel.
Sorry, I just can't see this going anywhere except for another member leaving and increased hate towards fellow TTers.

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 5:55:52 PM

LOL this is fun well for me but I guess Ill stop unless the other guys are having fun... Oh and one more thing off my chest..... If Georgey was president during WWII we would all be speaking Japanese and Germen....

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 5:59:47 PM

My Last Response:

<
right... I am an idiot... Hmmmm think about this...

Whether written or verbal the contract with us and cuba stands. Here you are arguing about bush making mistakes but do you want him to back up on his word and attack cuba. This is the entire reason for this thread, bush not being trustworthy, and here you are implying he should help the cubans by being, again, untrustworthy.
besides... About the terrorists
no duh they were from saudi arabia... But where was their leader from?
>

I am sure you have it all figured out. If you want to argue e-mail me but I will not be posting in this thread any longer...
J'adoube.
