Page : <1> :

As some of you may know, my Geforce 4 Ti was making a strange noise, and because of that I bought a new one, a Geforce 6600! I plugged it in myself, installed the drivers, and this thing has NEVER ran so smooth! XD
And as it uses the SilentTube technology, its a silent as ever! Only thing we hear now is the CPU processing :D
The graphics are also faster than they ever were, so Enemy Territory players, expect to get owned ;)
It also brought v-Tuner 2 Overclocking utility, Power DVD 6 and Thief: Deadly Shadows XD

PS: Anyone here knows how to work with V-Tuner 2? I cant find a way to open the fan and temperature etc controls!

I got the 6600GT. It's an awsome card, it runs TT at 150-170 FPS on Linux.

I reccomend highly getting a PCI slot fan card to cool it, This is a good example of one. With it I was able to overclock my (yay NVClock for linux) card while keeping it at 39c idle and 60c under heavy stress.

^Thats exactly the card I have... I can easily overclock it 100Mhz each (Core and Memory) while staying safe,so I'm not going to buy one... If I ever get any problems I'll get it :)
PS: The card brought V-Tuner 2 to overclock itself :)

With Ati, anything above Radeon 7000 will load TT.

I have a few comps that were thrown together from old parts, they all run TT tho.

1. Dell Precision 410: PII 400mhz, 418mb SDRAM, 32mb Geforce 256 (runs TT the best of the three)
2. Gateway: PIII 450mhz, 384mb SDRAM, 16mb Riva TNT2
3. HP: Celeron 600mhz, 256mb SDRAM, 64mb Radeon 7000 (WORST EVER VIDEO CARD)

And then my server, a salvaged PC...

Dell Precision 420: Dual PIII's at 733mhz each, 256mb RAMBUS, 16mb Riva M64
