The thing is that you named your new files with the same names as the originals
(dont go renaming anything read this all the way through!!!!)
The reason you substituted skins but kept the name the same is because you have to!
See the map is coded to look for those skins in exactly the place they are kept by those names
If you move or rename them you will get an "improper artwork or version of TT alarm"
the reason no one else can see them is because the game "thinks" they are the same as the local copy
So....Ghost Always Objects recieved
The only way is to create a new map using Torque Game Engine
In TGE you would rename your skins - place them in a handy folder and paint the terrain with
the skins of your choice.
Then you would place said skins in your TT folder with precisely the same path (so they can be found)
and when you served the mod map the skin files would be downloaded to anyone who joins automatically
This is why it takes a long time to join an original Mod
The map usually weighs in at 300 to 500 kb - this = 5 minutes or more at TT speed
And if you change skies or have special weapons thats even more time
So many of us post up the maps for preloading at Reagent X website
This saves mega time when joining a Dash or a Monkee Man or a Roos ScruMod
for that matter
TGE is a free demo and another interesting aspect of this game. Give it a try
Hmmmm! I remember when I first joined TT a "Nathan" would take 10 minutes or more to log in

You know, if you have everything set right, like the paths in th mis files and everything, you should be able to put up a dedicated server and others be able to see the things with different names cause somehow the dedicated server downloads what you dont have....
