I feel bad for her, but Lindsey Jacobellis really blew it in the women's snowboard cross race.

I was really enjoying the event, but had a bad feeling as she got near the last bumps. She also does halfpipe, and likes to throw tricks, so I was worried. Then she threw a little trick in on the last bump, wiped out, and lost the gold.

Total bummage. She was so gold, too.

Let this be a lesson for you kiddies... Showing off has it's price ;)

I saw it too. I was saying to my wife "What if she falls now?" And then BAM! We couldn't believe it! She's lucky to have gotten a silver, since two other people wiped out.

More publicity for her bikini pictures. %)

Why feel bad for her? Those kids really don't care that much, something I appreciate. They're out for the fun. She'll now be a queen for having the guts to hotdog it. The Flying Tomato was interviewed on CNN and he seemed to give two flips about the medal.

I thought it was going to be a big deal since I had (unfortunately) already read about the event on the web. They had described it a lot differently than it looked to me. As I watched it, I saw that she did a little kickout, but it didn't seem to be anything more than I had seen some of the guys do during their victory jump in the same event. I kept wishing Bob Costas would have gone to one of those clips instead of berating Lindsey, but, that's showbiz. It looked she just landed wrong, on her edge instead of the flat and that was it. Too bad for her since she deserved the gold, but I'm sure Seth Wescott was happy since his girl won the gold, so he's a winner all around. ;)
