I feel so sorry for retiring Lee R. Raymond.

"Exxon is sending its former chairman, Lee Raymond, out with a $400 million retirement package, one of the largest in history."

I feel so sorry for this guy. Some ass will probably try to claim this seems excessive and post it on some internet forum.

I'll let you Google it if you have further questions.

What can someone do with 400 millions, I do wonder.
Glad I'm car-free.

Sis gets hers in three days, so unfair.

Ahyhoo, there are lots of things you can do with 400 mil!

Invest in stock and get 401 mil!
Gamble it all away for pleasure!
Laugh at your buddies!
Buy a car! Or Two! Or three! Or four! And so on!
Buy a baseball Stadium!
Buy the Red Sox!
Bribe Cops!
Go to jail and buy your way out!
Give it away!
Then Steal it back!
Buy that beach house you've always wanted. Then buy another!
Invest again in stock and get 402 mil! Wow!
Buy some Turkish Delight!
Hire the militia! Dont ask Why!
Get a rent-a-freak and get him to think of more!

The list goes on and on and on.
:P

[insert another comment about how the increasingly intense competition for resources should be a wake-up call with regard to just how many kids people may want to bring into the world. As a rule of thumb, don't bring in any more than you can fit on your bike, guys and dolls. Will we see a return of the "banana seat?"]

Wow Sersh, do you realize that if you went to your local Indian casino and blew through 10 grand a day it would still take over 100 years to blow it all. We gotta think BIG here to blow 400 million :)

Crazy. No one, I repeat no one, deserves that much. Some people say he worked hard enough to earn it, but there are tons of other people who work just as hard at $5.15 an hour and get zero recognition for it.

LGM

I'd be willing to bet that the kid working for $10 / hour at the local grocery store works harder... If he hopes to get more hours and have a full time gig over the summer :o

Building your own milita could take up 400 mill.

And yet you've never heard of high stakes poker? The pot can get up to 300 mil on a good game.
Correction. It can take about 1 minute to lose that much in poker. Think outside the box ;).
