In CTF do you lean towards team points or try to get induvidual? Which is a better tactic in your PTT ranking?

I go for team points. If I have to take a lot of shots so my team can do better, then let my individual score fall. Don't know what that will do for my ranking...

A good combination is probably best for your ranking, however, team points carry far more weight than just getting lots of kills.

Ditto on Laggy's philosophy. This makes sense to me in a team game.

Scoring one goal point will offset a fair few deaths, so yes, this is the correct strategy for a good ranking. Team points count big.

I always try to get team points and not worry about individual scores. If I have to sacrifice a life to allow a teammate to get away with the scrum then I will. Whether it's blocking opposing tanks, taking fire, or distracting an attacker. It's nicer to kill them and move on but if they are busy shooting me, they can't get the flag (assuming I don't have it at the time).

Team first. Protect the flag any way you can while your team has it. Keep trying to steal it back when the other team has it. Forget about the individual battles.

Team points first. I think z's stats will favor that for the most part (I think). Some people play battlemode no matter what server they are on!!! Solution is to play it with them.... XD

Well, I haven't played a lot of CTF (just look in the rankings...) but I think the reason I'm placed high in the rankings is that I played on teams with good team scores. I'm not very good at battlemode & tend to concentrate more on the scrum & making sure it stays in my team's area. My battlemode scores in these games were very low compared to others who were playing.

When I have teammates that are only interested in personal points the team always looses. Thay sit up on the hills killing everybody in the rings including thier teamates desperatly trying to get the flag. I really P!$$e$ me off.

Teamwork is the only way to win in CTF and to have fun doing it.

My PTT stats dont even come for some reason it all says '0' so I go for team.
