Anyone else getting emails with this similar body content? (It has been in more than one email with different "password" info, such as www.arkansas.gov.) It comes from "info@...".

Account and Password Information are attached!

***** Go to: http://www.aol.com
***** Email: postman@aol.com

And it has a zip file named; reg_pass.zip (54.2 KB)

I read that the Sober worm is passing around on Wintel machines but the zip file is supposed to be around 73 KB. (perhaps a Mac difference?)

Does someone want a copy of this to examine? (Err... Not just anyone I suppose.)

What is it?

LGM

It sounds like the Sober worm.

Check out Symantec's page on it-

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.sober.o@mm.html

It generates random domain names like aol.com...

@ Windows/Mac users,

Why waste $$ and time on O/S other than Linux. Fast, efficient, and great community support. Make the switch, and you will never go back. I am rather new at Linux, and you can install something similar to Windows ie graphic installer, or build a system from you own accord.

Macs aren't screwed and lightly armored in replacement of heavy weaponry. They are faster and bigger, in order to acommodate heavy armor and powerful weapons. It would take quite a few bullets, or in this case, worms, to penetrate the thick outer shell of the Mac Tank.

Sorry, I've been playing too much Battalion Wars... :S
