Someone mentioned www.uploadit.org, but are there any other websites that can help us display images in our posts?

For example, on another forum, I could point to images on my yahoo/geocities account by changing the extension of the image from.jpg or.gif to.txt and it would work. For example here is a link to the band camp girl from American Pie: http://www.geocities.com/thepaissano/images/allyson.txt

How do we embed images in posts on PTT? Is it just standard HTML code?

I will test it here:

<img src="http://www.geocities.com/thepaissano/images/allyson.txt" align="middle">

If it has a jpg, png or gif extension, you only need to type in the url, otherwise (and you can do this anway) surround the url with {img} and {/img} tags. (using square brackets not curly ones)

Alternatively, just click on the little 'picture frame icon in betweent the envelope and the B and type in the url of the image in the javascript prompt.

Yoxio is nice. Very simple to use, free, and they don't want mountains of personal information.

It steps you through the process, and even gives you the codes you need to post images. Just copy it out of the appropriate box, and presto! Instant images in the forums. I used it to post the image below.

Wow! This thread is so old now! Kai, you must have had alot of time on your hands to find this ancient thread.

Also, you canno't see the images anymore because the image that these people were hosting from is now gone from their data base. Also, that some of them were testing and failed to accomplish their goal to viewing the image that they desire.

Thanks for reading.
