Q: How do I open the ports to host a ThinkTanks game?

A: Go to Port Forward and find your router's make and model number, then click on the model number and on that page, find "Port Forwarding on the [Router Brand] [Model Number]" and click it. Then follow the directions.

Q: I have Mac OSX and have no sound, how can I get my sound back?

A: OM Posted a Fix here.

Graphics Card Drivers:

If you get strange artifacts or ThinkTanks does not start, try downloading the newest driver for your card.

NOTE: ThinkTanks does NOT work with anything lower than an nVidia Riva TNT2 16mb.

nVidia (Select Graphics Drivers, then find your card.)
nVidia for Linux
ATI (Find your OS and then from there find your card.)

My D-Link DSL-502T router has port 28000 closed. I port forward port 28000 to 28010 on port map 28000, but it still doesnt work.

@pgg
The router access on a linksys is browser based
So the operating system doesnt matter
Go to the Linksys site and type in your model # in the search box
Then get the manual and read about Router Access and Port Forwarding
Handy Link to Linksys ------------>linksys

^ still can't find it... Gees, I feel dumb. But is there any way to use the server prefs to change it

$pref::Server::missionWorld = "1";
$Pref::Server::Name = "castle geek (mod)";
$Pref::Server::PasswordEnabled = 0;
$Pref::Server::Port = 28000;
$Pref::Server::RegionMask = 2;
$pref::Server::ReplaceBots = 1;
$pref::Server::SavePassword = "moo";

Nope ya gots to open the ports in your router
The pref.cs aint got nothing to do with it
Try this
Open your browser and in the address box type
http://192.168.1.1
and hit the GO button
When a window pops up leave the user blank and
type admin as the password
Geez! Ya still need the manual Dude!
I don't remember all of it and my linksys was older

How do I find out what kind of grafic card I have?

Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 5:11:17 PM

On windows, right click on any empty desktop area, then select Properties. Then click the tab on the tob that says Settings. In the pull down box labeled Display, that is your card.

For more advanced info, on windows, go to the start menu and click Run , then type in dxdiag. On the top, go to the display tab. There it is in the "Device" box.

On mac I have no clue, sorry.

dad

I need an answer quick for this one...I can't get any names to come up in team or battlemode just Player #1 or #2 etc.....
Same with the server names ie...Game #1 or #2 anyone know what the problem is?

Thursday, October 20, 2005 at 7:27:31 PM

^Check out if you have child safe filter ticked. If it's ticked try unticking it. I believe it causes the names/server to be like that. You find the child safe filter from options.

You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
