I'm getting the game in a week so I don't really need it for demos but for all my demo friends and have u seen tbones teleport racing its so cool.. :)

Most of the (Demo's) like you destoyer have been banned from my server because of bad behaiver. I hate banning anyone but you guys have become players who have a long way before you will be respected and deserve the right to play in private servers. (I speak for myself). If you indeed are buying the game and want to play in my server you will be welcome, but if you continue to act like a (Demo) you will be banned from ever playing in my mod. I know not all (Demo's) are bad but I do not have the time or paitience to weed through them. I only allow known players and there friends to use my mods. I hope you will become a good player with an attitude to go with it. I speak for myself but I have put the name (Demo) in my bad word folder, which keeps all (Demo's) out good or bad, right or wrong thats what it has came to.

Demos ar ejlust beginners who either camp, BM (sometimes not good), and act plain stupid. Did I mention that some cuss?

Yes, I never bothered keeping DEMOs out of Survivor. I was more incline to banning them, of course. They had less freedom and leniency on my part.

The Survivor server you are all talking about is mine , and I'm afraid that it isn't quiet fair to have DEMOs roaming it when it is against GarageGames rule, and makes me liable to be sued or other means of punishment, because it is all part of the deal we players made before purchasing TT, "Not letting DEMOs into MODs or Team games." Therefore, I will install a custom made DEMO-be-gone script in all my servers (including Keep Away & Survivor).

I hope this doesn't deter you from purchasing the game, but drives DEMOs to buy it. I'm just trying to be fair. I hope you and all those other DEMOs who want to play at my server's understand.

Also, you may not understand correctly, but not anyone can host special servers like Survivor or KeepAway. You have to have made them, or gotten the necessary files from the person who made them.

Some ThinkTanks owners do that stuff as well.

Yeah Destroyer you need to pick your friends more carefully. I have only met one DEMO ever that did not cuss, camp, BM, or teamkill. Not all DEMOs are immature, but most are and need to act a lot better.

I no tat not all Demos are mean. I was good natured when I was a demo, and when I bought the game I only cussed when ppl started to get on my nerves by cussin because they were BMed a lot. Now I dont cuss I just call em names cause im in 2 armies, but I doubt any army allows any1 to cuss.

Plus we're not discriminating against you by doing this. It's simple logic. If you buy the game, you get into mods, spooky & frantic maps, and team games. If you stay with the demo, you don't. It's the way GarageGames makes money. If demos don't buy the game, they might not be able to afford doing the servers and stuff anymore. Then no more TT for anyone.

All it takes is logic and brains XD XD XD (Which everyone should have unlimmited amounts of on TT... 8o

SOME TTers can easily say things that can be missenterpreted
SOME TTers can be stupid

DEMOS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY MOD OR TEAM GAME SERVERS. THIS VIOLATES TT LICENCE CODE AND IS LIABLE FOR LEGAL PUNISHMENT. Case closed. Otherwise I was going to put up somewhat of a "demo island" that would instruct them on proper game behaviour or something, but someone scared me out of it. I think it was nap or LW. Look up the thread. Probably about 7 pages back, or so in modding...

No where does it say in the EULA (End User License Agreement) that demo's are not allowed on modded servers. Legal punishment? Please, I'll bet half of you haven't even seen/read/heard of TT's Eula before...

The sad, sad truth of the matter is, you poor people dont want to give the DEMO's rights to your personal server. What's up with that? When I could host I allowed demo's on my modded server and nothing bad came of it...

Demo's ARE allowed on modded servers. And if you want to go legal with me, anything not stated in the Eula is actually reserved for the user. This includes having more than one copy, on more than one computer (as long as you are not distributing the game), allowing demo's in your server, even taking the game and building a shrine for it in your closet. Since the Eula does not say whether or not you can do these things, Legally they are reserved rights for the user.

On the other hand, the Eula does not prohibit banning demo's from your server either. Another reserved right.

You can do what you want. Legally Demo's are allowed on modded servers but obviously it is up to the server operators to decide that since we have 3rd party scripts such as admin codes etc.

This really IS a pointless thread. DEMOs can decide for themselves whether they're allowed on mods or not. I just draw the line at reg code swapping.

If that's true, then I guess anyone else should stay away from DEMOs, they piss people off. Equally true, if you generalize like that. That comment was as narrowminded as dissing ALL DEMOs- I agree, some are smart, but most are 114m4s.

Yeah, it's $20, but it's a useful $20. It buys you 100% more game modes, 200% more maps, the ability to mod/script (priceless), and most importantly, it buys you some respect.
Chew on that next time you go after me for going after DEMOs. Think, for once.

Oh by the way, I am a demo and im not all that happy bout it neither.... I DID have the full version until this one fateful day wen it said I had to upgrade - long story short I lost my (I think its a 12 digit) key code and my previlage to play the full version.

I'm not too sure what you find funny here. A simple question with a simple answer could suffice in this situation. I am sure there is a simple explanation, but you have alluded to some sort of childish banter that really doesn't add to the conversation. So, if you please, without the rigamaroo, what is a demo?

@ Cheeseknife- A demo is somone who is, indeed, playing the DEMO of TT. They are typically looked down upon by their bad behaviour and noobish insults, but some are pretty cool.

Why would anyone look down on ANY new player that could possibly have valuable input for the game at a later time? It would be interesting to see how much of the current players used the demo before buying the game. I wonder if they got harassed for not buying the game right away. What's the biggie anyway. Aren't there players with the full version who are worse than those who play the demo? Just trying to figure out the logic behind all the "demo" nonsense, that's all.

DEMO's are notoriouse for joining PTT nd spamming... A lot. They are also notoriouse for swearing, BM, diving, comping, and just plain being evil. They are also easier to catagorize that the normal, full-version players. Somone can just say "DEMO" and they instantly get the picture of a medioum tank not knowing much about the game. Some demos are cool, though, and I do not look down upon them unless they prove to be complete morons.
