What are your summer vacation plans?

I'm hoping to do some camping (in the outdoors, not scrum). Hopefully we'll make it down to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA for a weekend. Some vacation days are going to be spent on remodeling the house. We also need to use a free vacation that was given to us (one of those 3 day/2 nights packages), but we haven't decided where we're going for that one. Maybe Maine.

@JB

My daughter is doing a summer internship at NASA Ames, her second year of doing this, as part of her college scholarship from NASA.

Do I remember correctly that you work at that facility?

Helicopters.... Some such....can't remember the thread or I'd re-look it up.

Oh, as for the thread - We have a family reunion in Tennessee in mid June (my Mom's side of the family) other than that just summer fun, camping trips, baseball games (go A's) and much, much more.

Not much for me, but I hear that Paco plans to do a little camping.

Will he be allowed to tow that thing around in PsychoScrum 6.0?

@ Baba

What part of Tennessee? My parents are from there and still have some family around the state. I'll be down there in July for a small family reunion.

I'm also meeting my parents & sister in Virginia for week of visiting and sight seeing in June. Nothing as exciting or relaxing as a beach or canoeing but it will have to do.

I'm heading north to a cabin on the Mendocino coast for the next few days. :) No phones, internet, TV, TT or anything - I hope I survive!

@JB: which Bart station are you near? I'm near the El Cerrito station.

@KBC: Lol - you are the master!

Cy'all in a few days. The Baarnyard will be up on my return.

My sister and her family lives about a 1 hour drive south of Nashville, Outside Summertown (small town) kinda close to Columbia (bigger town).

They live on the land where one of the largest, most organized and "successful" (one might say hippie) communes were located. A place called "The Farm".

Very interesting place in fact. Still hosts a thriving and dynamic community (not organized as a commune any more) where book publishing, alternative energy projects, midwifery training and many other enterprises continue to happen.

Can't wait! Family get togethers are a good thing for me.

Enjoy the coast and the escape RX!

No TT means more time to develop more Black Sheep training regimens, right?

Might try some WW rafting.

Really wanna get on a ATV, im tired of my lil TT tank.

Any ATV'ers out there? Let's meet on a peak!

Azazel, you should come on over to West Virginia. Plenty of opportunities for rafting & ATV riding.

We're going camping this weekend with the family on the river plot my dad bought a few years back. Swimming and fishing with the boy, ahhhhh.

I'll be on the west side of the map. Can't wait.

Real camping...real smores woot

Have fun.

Oh except for those two weeks around labor day when I go to beautiful Black Rock City, the greatest city on the face of the earth.

If anyone knows where that is, then you know what this is, BTW: )º(. No, it is NOT an ass!
