What days and times work best for everyone?

Wednesday, February 09, 2005 at 2:08:39 PM

Hey pai!

We're still hashing it out, but it looks like Thursdays at about 6PM pacific/9PM eastern might be best for the three of us (I think that would place it on Feb 17th). Other days and times are possible, I just wanted to loft the most likely time up and see what came down with it!

Woot for 3on3!

Wednesday, February 09, 2005 at 3:46:36 PM

Thanks George. I will run it past my men and let you know what the deal is.
I look forward to the showdown! I think it's going to be a bloodbath...
:)

2/17 not good for fatlips. How about 2/16 wednesday at 10 pm? Need confirmation from demolition though. Ask yer guys what is the next best day...wed. Or fri...

Is this a better logo for the Widow Makers?

Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 3:51:03 PM

Too bad about Thursday! Dar has PSL8 on Wednesday and would rather not cram matches together (could be asking for trouble if one runs long...). Friday is possible. Weekends run into one of our work schedules (and ain't great for a second one of us), with availability going to nil after 2PM eastern Sat-Sun. Mon and Tues are pretty much out.

So it looks like late Wed (possibly), Friday night (possibly), or earlier on Sat-Sun (next weekend) for us.

Late Wed would probably work for me, I am in a bowling league and would be home ~ 10pm central, so if we could make it around 10:15 or 10:30 just to be safe that works for me.

Friday night also probably ok with me.

Saturday day I can't do at all.

Sunday day is probably ok with me also.

Friday, February 11, 2005 at 10:30:15 AM

Wed is good for me.

Friday, February 11, 2005 at 1:38:45 PM

Wednesday is good for me too. I assume 11:30 PM EST (10:30 PM CST)....
I can only play late at night now..including weekends. :(
fatlips needs to confirm wed....
if he does.. Then we can schedule it...

Friday, February 11, 2005 at 3:14:03 PM

I'm still interested in hosting/observing/recording for y'all. I'd be hosting from NC. I'll keep watching this thread for your game time and I'll put up a test server on Monday.

Sunday, February 13, 2005 at 3:53:38 AM

@BC: yes, we are still interested - keep that eye on this space for confirmation...

@pai: Your asumption of 8:30 pacific/10:30 central/11:30 eastern is correct, but we are still waiting on dar's Go/No Go for that night/time (I'm good to go then).

I've asked my guys to post the best days and times they can play before the 2/22 deadline.
I can play any day as long as it's late at night... After 10:00 PM EST. I never play during the day anymore...can't during the week because of work and not on weekends because of family.

Monday, February 14, 2005 at 3:29:27 PM

The three of us are in for Wed night, 2/16, at 8:30pacific/10:30central/11:30eastern. I've just gotten word that this coming weekend (Fri 2/18-Sun 2/20) has gone to virtually nil for me, so I really hope FatLips can go this Wed! Mon-Tues look pretty slim.

Monday, February 14, 2005 at 6:31:20 PM

I dont think fatlips can make wed. Demo and I can, but he can't. Let's look at the dates from 2/17 thru the deadline 2/22 (next Tuesday)

Monday, February 14, 2005 at 6:41:17 PM

Pai:

2/17 not good for fatlips. How about 2/16 wednesday at 10 pm? Need confirmation from demolition though.

I thought Wed (tomorrow 2/16) was proposed (as a good time for you and FatLips) due to FatLips not being able to play on Thurs 2/17?

Get off the shed.

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 12:10:57 PM

I would love to play TONIGHT! I have a league game though.

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 12:15:15 PM

Does it last all night?

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 12:38:14 PM

@George
Trust me, I feel your pain! I have not even been able to get one practice with my entire team cause of fatlips baffling schedule and difficulty communicating with him. I fear a forfeit.

By the way, Tally says we have from 2/16 to 2/22 to get our game in, so what's the big deal if we don't get to play on day one? We still have lots of time to get the game in!
We just need to agree on a day and time. I know the problem is on our end, so let's see if I can get my guys to agree on a time....and let them post it on here themselves.

Paisano, I know we haven't hit our window (2/16-2/22) yet, but this is what we have so far:

Day 1 (Wed 2/16): we can play, but FL can't
Day 2 (Thur 2/17): we can play, but FL can't
Day 3 (Fri 2/18): I can only play if we start by 5 PM pacific (need dar/vash confirmation)
Day 4 (Sat 2/19): neither demo nor I nor you can play
Day 5 (Sun 2/20): neither you nor I can play
Day 6 (Mon 2/21): we can play at 8:30 or 9 PM pacific (dar please confirm)
Day 7 (Tues 2/22): we can play at 8:30 or 9 PM pacific (dar please confirm) , or right after FL's TBML match

So, we are already realistically (Friday's slim) looking at only the last two days of the 7-day window, and two of our possible days have already been nixed.

I would rather play than have it be a forfeit, hence my perilous willingness to squeeze it in on Friday between work and in-laws coming into town (I'm on eastern US time - Friday is a last resort for me, so if it has to be then we need to know by Thursday!).

Day 1 (Wed 2/16): I can play at 8pm-930pacific
Day 2 (Thur 2/17):I can play at 5pm-9pmpacific
Day 3 (Fri 2/18): I can play only 630-730pmpacific
Day 4 (Sat 2/19): I can play all day till 10pmpacific
Day 5 (Sun 2/20): I can play morning till 11 am then 3pm till 9pm
Day 6 (Mon 2/21): I can play 730 till 9pmpacific
Day 7 (Tues 2/22): I can play 730 till 930

These are the times that I can make it

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 10:11:40 PM

My schedule update:

(ALL TIMES LISTED IN CENTRAL TIME)
WED can play after 10:30 pm
THU can play eveningtime
FRI most likely not available (definitely can't play @3pm)
SAT can play all day long <---changed this
SUN can play late but would prefer not to
MON can play evening
TUE can play evening

Sounds to me like Monday or Tuesday would be the best days. Can we plaese set a time soon? It sounds like this might come down to the wire if we don't.

Demolition

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 10:18:38 PM

OK, from what's been posted on this thread, here's the proposed gametime and details:

Monday, Feb. 21, at 8:00 PM pacific (which is 10:00 PM central and 11:00 PM eastern) We're available, demo and pai are available, FL ??? ...

Note that this is the START TIME for Game 1, not the time to start gathering for the match! Get into BC's server before 8:00 PM pacific (password will be emailed). We'll start the match on the first game reset after 8:00 PM, unless BC is present and can reset us manually so we can start immediately at/after 8:00 PM pacific.

@BC: We'll need a recorded server set up to loop 15-minute games on Serotonin Slopes, using the latest version of Sluggy's averaging script and the team chat script (on a personal note, I still need to download the chat script - anyone else?).

Just to refresh/clarify, folks: the winner will be the team with a point lead after two games. 2 points for a win, 1 point each for a tie, 0 points for a loss. If there's a points tie after two games, another game will be played until the tie is broken.

And while I was reading through all of the posts on the official thread, I just want to say this in response to one of paisano's comments: ignore the seed ranks! There are no slouches in this match.

And, no, we won't need to see a photo of your respect when we whoop you!.

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 10:43:03 AM

OK, I'll put the official server named BC's TWM vs DVG up at 7:47 and get in it as an observer using a different computer. That will give you an 8:02 regular reset. I can also do an admin nuke command if needed.

I'll be in a pre-game server named BC's pre-game before I launch the official one at 7:47.

Will someone pick a password and email it to me?

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 12:26:03 PM

I've sent an email to everyone but Demolition (no email address on PTT profile) with a proposed password.

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 1:40:59 PM

I'm very sorry for the mishap. I was rushed to the hospital yesterday after suffering a great amount of pressure in my head. Felt as if I was going to explode. I fainted on the floor luckily I had called a friend to come pick me up and rush me to the hospital. I was in ER for 3 hours. It was not really fun. I'm good for the 21st! Anytime is good with me. Please pray for me that I find a health power up to grab. Thank you for being patient.

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 3:27:14 PM

@Fatlips
So sorry to hear about your awful experience! Glad you are feeling better. I hope you are up to playing. Don't worry if you can't make it, dude.
It's just a cartoon tank game, your health is much more important. We'll use a reserve if it's acceptable by our opponents (Tally Ho has already confirmed that it's ok to use a last minute replacement if it was an emergency as this case would be). So let us know if you think you will be ok on Monday.

Unless Fatlips states otherwise, then it looks like a date is set!

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 4:01:17 PM

@ FatLips that sounds a little bit scary, I hope you make a full recovery. Like pai said, we don't want you to risk your health to play in this 3 on 3. But if you're feeling fine then it looks like game on for Monday. I added my email to my profile, so could someone send me the pass please.

Demo

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 6:59:48 PM

@George
Breaking news!!! Fatlips has had another relapse and it doesn't look like he will be able to play any TT for a few weeks.
If it's ok with your team, we would like to still play on Monday night with our replacement player. Is this acceptable?
Tally Ho said it was all right. Can we proceed as planned?

Thanks!

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 7:39:02 PM

Who is the replacement?

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 7:41:45 PM

MonkeeMan... If he can still make it on Monday of course... He has accepted our offer to replace fatlips...

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 7:58:23 PM

@FatLips: Get well soon. We look forward to hearing that you are on the mend.

@Demolition: I forwarded the password email to you.

@pai: Let's do this thing. Monday at 8pacific/10central/11eastern.

I have 1) forwarded the pw email to MonkeeMan and 2) a pain in my neck.

Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 6:55:58 AM

Monday night... I'll be there!

Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 10:42:49 AM

Woot...

Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 10:47:24 AM

I'm still taking a breather right now but I will be able to play monday night if you guys are ok with it.

Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 9:37:45 AM

@Fatlips
Good to hear you are feeling better now, but I don't think we can get you back into the game on such short notice. Also, I think Tally Ho won't allow it. We were told that we could make one replacement per game/match. It wouldn't be fair to our opponents to keep switching players (especially when an injury isn't involved in this case with MonkeeMan). While we would love to have your guns/firepower back in the game, it just doesn't seem fair to MonkeeMan or our opponents. If it means losing, then so be it. Let's see what the comish (ho) says.

Sunday, February 20, 2005 at 6:59:04 AM

@ Fatlips
There will be many opportunities to challenge to the tournament winners. Your guns will be in high demand for those. Glad to hear you're doing better.

Sunday, February 20, 2005 at 7:12:36 AM

No problem all! I wouldn't want to take away from MonkeeMan, sure hes preparting to beat the rest! Thanks alot BC! Good to hear from you!

Sunday, February 20, 2005 at 10:52:46 AM

Can someone email me the password for the server?
Thanks

Monday, February 21, 2005 at 3:08:41 PM

I sent it to you at il_paisano@hotmail.com, pai!

Monday, February 21, 2005 at 3:15:17 PM

Great match, guys!

Considering that the third game of our match was probably the 2,000th game I've played on this $20 software, it was worth every bit of that penny! (To quote the classics: "Ah hates losing!" -- Yosemite Sam lol) Screenies:

Game 1

Game 2

Game 3

(You da man, dar!)

Once my bm'ing skills get Ginsu sharp, I'm looking for the next tourney!

@Blind Cide
Thanks for hosting and recording the match! There was no significant lag and you never got in the way as observer.

By the way, when can we see the video? Can we order a DVD or CD of it? How much can we send you for your troubles (time and materials)?
