I miss old TT. I wish it was still here. I keep having memories of the good old days. Call me crazy but I think it is way better than current TT. :[ I feel sad. Must continue and hope some of the oldtimers will come back.

Sorry to hear that. What is missing for you? Is it the new maps that bug you, the people being not the same, or is it something else?

I've only been here a year, but I see it different now than it was. In some ways good, but some things aren't as good. Maybe it's the attitudes some players have. What makes the fun be bled away?

Ah, maybe its because TT is filling up with new people and rude people. I dont mind the new people and Im find with that. But being around with oldtimers all the time. Ah at least some late night games we have good times. LGM I thought you have been here for about 2 years? B)

@Cloud- I was a demo for about 6 months before buying TT, but it's a great game. I worry that all the good folks are leaving and being replaced by twits. Maybe the remaining vets need to step up and train the newbs.

I dunno. I'm just reaching the point where I think I can play well enough to hold my own, and have more things to explore still. Maybe once I feel I've done all I can, I'll move on, but not for a while yet...

Im slowly but surely moving on, moving onto bigger and better games, Real FPS and much better graphic wise games. But you still cant beat the fun and excitment of a good ol' late night scrum game, even though they are getting worse and worse every day its still fun to play on the old monkee Mod rotation!

BRING BACK THE PWNAGE!

To everything turn turn turn turn....

On the point of training the newbs, really skill doesn't matter, the training needs to be in the area of how to make witty comments and how to not bate the flamers.

No baiting? Can I at least chastise them a little? Maybe some lambasting and castigating? I still love this game. People are people, they can always be crappy to one another. In order to lessen your anxiety, find a core group of folks that you enjoy playing with. It makes dealing with the fatheads much easier. Also works in real life as well. Some pastoral advice (if you are "churchy"): Paul states that the church is the body of Christ. Indeed it is, but we have to remember that every body has an orifice of excretion. The important thing is for the rest of the body to not let that particular body part think that it's something else.

Is that baiting?

So true, Lagman. A big part of the fun is banter and wit. That's the kind of training needed - "self deprecating humor for the complete idiot". We need more players who aren't too serious about themselves, who can taunt others good naturedly, and take the same from others.

Maybe the message should be "That's not funny" when it gets too serious. Have fun!

If only There was the admin script installed on all non player servers with all the banned IP addresses, that would surely get rid of the idiots that plague our community :(

I only got a glimpse of the golden age at PTT, but I loved it. There were no people, even if you got really annoying, that would bash you, or start a war with you. We were all friends (pretty much) and ban lists of armies got bored. Good times... Miss 'em :(

Pardon my rudeness, I cannot abide useless people.

Only few know the old TT.... Some just think it was a year ago. Thats young.

*Sigh* man I sure do miss the old dAys of TT
when I was a demo. Cxome to think of it I had more fun as a Demo

Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 3:48:48 PM

When I first started...as a DEMO...everyone was helpful...but now when a DEMO joins, even if they play nice, they get flamed...just for the fact of being a DEMO...at least I don't do that... :(

I use multi-billion dollar military satellites to find tupperware hidden in the woods... What do YOU do?

How about me?
Yeah, newbs need a fair amount of training, but if they did, we could bring back the old TT's atmosphere. Let's get started now.

God I cant agree more with the people who were there for the "golden Days" of TT but they were so much better than the crap people that play now. So rude. Were getting scrappy towards the newcomers and missing the people who have come and gone. I think that all the admins in the "circle" should haev rule in all mods and games so that the fair people can have a grip on the jerks that ban everybody and nuke and all that crap.
