Eh no kidding.... I find myself up against some hard people sometimes
Cloud
What about a code that extends to leaving mid game, coming back, leaving again, and accusing people who NEVER camp of camping, eh paisano?
I've played in about 6 games with you, and you almost never finish if you are losing...so easy on what you ask for or accuse others of.
I have seen this a lot in the last 4 days ! I will not mention names but it needs to come to a Dead Stop and Now ! I have seen teams very even then out of the clear blue a select few changes teams for no reason but to be on the winning team, and yes I am talking about veteran players doing this for no reason what so ever but to be on the winning team ! XO
@stink
oh shut up...my leaving games has nothing to do with winning or losing because I leave while winning just as often if not more than when my team is losing! Ask anyone...pal. Shoot, sometimes I have to go when I'm having the best game of my life and it kills me!!! I just can't help it sometimes. It's a long story that I won't bore you with but it involves a very sickly child and a wife struggling with a shattered foot, in case you had a heart and actually cared. I've been ripped about this before (tankgirl) and it was the main reason why I used aliases. I stopped using aliases so now everyone knows that I don't have the luxory of being able to play for long stretches of time (no matter what the score is!).
It's either accept those irritating limitations of my current situation or not play at all. I know you would prefer I didn't play at all.
As for the camping comment, shoot...you are so sensitive. For those that don't know what that is about, stink played as red the other night and actually beat blue and green with a great effort. I just made a comment that it was easier sometimes to play as red cause you can camp more (you have to!) and you don't have to worry about passing or anything. You just shoot anyone or anything that moves and try to score. That's all.
No one thinks you are a camper....sheesh.
Can we hug now? It'll have to be short cause..well..I gotta go again...;)
I apologize to you stink if I insulted you with my observation (didn't intend to hurt your feelings).
Also, I apologize to anyone else that has been irritated by my constant coming and going... I know that I should really retire and quit playing.
I've cut back tremendously now since I started my new job. No more day time games at all! Only a few at night. My tank is smoking and there is no heath powerup in sight.

@Wolf
Thanks for backing me up on this. No one else seems to want to talk about this subject for some reason. It's almost like a secret club thing.
Hmmm..a conspiracy!!! The elites scheme to play with one another on unbalanced teams..even going as far as using aliases to hide the truth!
I am just kidding, but shoot...I might not be that far from the truth....huh?
Whatever...just play the damn game and have fun.
Sorry Pais, but while I understand your frustration (& I always do switch when teams are unbalanced), your assumptions about what happened are incorrect. I did not switch teams to be with RX, nor would I have. That was done by the admin. There are probably a couple of reasons why this was done, neither of which has anything to do with stacking the teams or anything.
@MP & Reagent X
Ah...thanks for clearing that up for me. I should've known better!!! You two guys are always men of honor and I said as much in my original post. Sorry about the assumption. You know what they say about assuming....
my bad...in this instance...but I've seen it happen many times before though with others.
I think Reagent does a great job as an admin...but I don't know about others. I think not having the codes loaded on a server makes it tougher for players to do the right thing sometimes. For example, if we know we can switch by simply typing /Blue or /Green, then that seems to help keep games pretty even and fair. However, when a player has to actually leave a game in order to switch colors (even with the wingman script), then more times than not it doesn't seem to happen as much because they know they might not get back into the game. TS servers seem to be remain full and very difficult to get into sometimes.
Thus, having an admin who is good at judging skills making the switch is critical for keeping games fair and fun.

@ All
This might not of been the reason for what Paisano was talking about but I have seen this a lot in the last 4 days in Reagent X server ! Nothing against you RX cause I have seen these people leave the game to join your side but I myself am getting very sick of this BS ! If you want me to mention names email me, for I do not want to point out who the " Cheaters are !" Yes I said cheaters, how else can some one of my skills see it ! Teams are even yet they switch side for no reason what so ever !
XO
Oi! Less hug then. I didn't know wassup at home. My apologies, I jest kept noticing you leaving all the time...an everyone was all "wassup with that?" including me.
So, I guess I will be glad to see you when I see you, and tolerant of when you go...carry on.
Next time I see you, ima hug that flaggy thing right ofn ya.

I don't get it. If teams are even, meaning number of players, I say who's on either side doesn't matter. If you're not good enough to compete with them, get better. I think you'll find that playing more on a less powerful team actually improves your skills. I personally like going against better players as long as the number of tanks on each side are the same. In fact, me, Duk and Carlos recently pummeled the scrum champs.
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.
Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.
^ mostly agree rogue....
Although, if you have the misfortune to be on THIS ONE GUY'S TEAM and everyone eles ON THE TEAM SUCKS, it gets to be quite a drag.
All you can do is hang back and play defense, while them newbies rattle around, bumping into each other and THIS ONE GUY calls them (and you by extension) ALL MORONS.
Its like I always say "too many michael jordans, not enough luke longleys"...but try being luke longley on a team with a really PISSED OFF MICHAEL JORDAN and a bunch of special olympians...it always results in humilating failure...
So it kinda feels like this?
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

You forgot the chat line at the bottome:
"OUTTA THE WAY NOOBS!"
LOL!!!
Actually, if you could photoshop in A REAL PISSED OFF MICHAEL JORDAN capping that girl in the head with a beer bottle, yeah...it would kinda feel like that..
OUTTA THE WAY NOOBS
@Stink
Thanks for accepting my apology and understanding my situation. I also have to add another embarrassing confession... Even though I make a living as an IT professional, I have a computer that locks up when playing tanks almost every time!!! I need to back up all of my data which are gigs and gigs so I can reformat and rebuild my pc! Until then, I will lock up and then reboot and come back in..if I can get in. The the kid will wake up crying and I leave without saying goodbye...and on and on it goes.
Dude, sorry to make you explain yourself...i had no idea. I hope to see more of you soon!
Ps...watch out for that REALLY PISSED OFF MICHAEL JORDAN and his band of special olympians...
JB was right...i need a big ol' glass of "SHUT THE F*&% UP!"
Wat was I gonna say anywho?...oh yeah! As for being on a team getting reamed over by veterans, I guess I don't really care about the losing, but being on a team that doesn't play well together is frankly about as much fun as dry-humping a pot-belly stove. Know what I mean? I understand why THIS ONE GUY gets so upset. Still, the newbies need to learn...so, probably better to give a couple of pointers...rather than berate them.
I mean, its not like this is a job or nuthin. Your pay doesn't get docked for losing...i still manage to have fun in a losing effort if the team is working well together...EVEN IF THEY ARE ALL MORONS! And some of them really are morons...

I can tell you it is not so easy being an admin and keeping the teams even!
I try and not switch people too often. At some point you have to accept the fact that it can take awhile for the teams to become even. Some times it can take several games before things get in a groove. Some nights it seems there are always an odd number of players 8( ! I will often make the last person in RED in that case. Other times a 4 - 5 game can still be a whole lot of fun when all understand it for exactly what it is: a 4 on 5 game.
If I am admin, I amost always ask for volunteers to switch when the teams are uneven! Sluggy will often just change people, but I do try and ask for a volunteer first. Contrary to the implication, players on my server cannot switch teams themselves (unless they do it the old-fashioned way).
I put the responsibility back on you all to make approprate suggestions on who to switch when the teams are uneven. I often switch myself if I am on the team that is up a man. I like playing on even teams and I am not aware of people who actively go against this on my server.
I spend a lot of time paying attention to the team roster when I am admin. Thanks to 56k Lag Man and Sluggy I now have a special boot script so I can boot people who haven't predownloaded the maps and they will see a window with a link to my website!! :) This absolutley ROCKS and is making my life a lot easier. Thanks 56 and Slug! I am always willing to switch people who feel strongly if the teams are not to your liking so speak up if it bothers you.
I comment on unbalanced teams but thats gonna happen....
Every game of TS I played tonight was unbalanced....in most games I scored enough to make the final scores close games..some were even team victories....but sometimes you just cant get between the flag and the goal...it happens....
Those who played some with me can verify....many games my name was on top for scoring but the team on bottom...
It used to piss me off...now it doesnt...i might comment on the teams but thats about it...
It is fun playing an underdog team...hell the whole night was a blast!!! (except for tanky misbehaving)
Hell I forgive ya hank...kinda...
Lets do it again..say.....tomorrow night same time same place?
(RX will buy)

One of the things that still baffles and irritates me about Team Scrum is when veteran players don't do the right thing when it comes to creating fair teams! For example, earlier tonight we had a good 5 on 5 game going, then all of a sudden MajorPain (one of the best of the best) decided to switch teams so he could play with Reagent X (another elite) who had just entered the game! The score was 8-5 and still close, but it would soon become a wipeout. I knew it would as soon as I saw MP switch teams. I even commented on the move hoping he would switch back, but they didn't budge. I said with tongue in cheek "it is illegal in 48 states for MP and reagent to play on the same team" and "it's only allowed in Alaska and Hawaii". They all laughed and I left. It wasn't going to be any fun. I never like it when the elites do such things. The funny thing is that these are two of the best sportsmen in the game, so I know it wasn't done maliciously or anything like that. They just wanted to play together and they have the right to do so. Just as I have the right to not play in unfair contests like that one.
Listen, it's not about winning or losing. Shoot, most of the time I am on the winning team and I've been on more than my fair of blowouts and I can honestly tell you that I much rather prefer playing a close battle to the final seconds than a blowout. It's so much more fun when teams are evenly matched! Those games deserve GG's not blowouts. Especially when the teams are unbalanced from the get go.
There needs to be a code of honor by the elites who strive to keep games fair and balanced. If it means switching several times a game, then so be it. Tally Ho does it all the time. So does the Professor, Memphis and many others. Sure they all would love to play with the best of the best, but they understand the importance of keeping things fair in team scrum. They know that ONE player makes a major difference to the experience (not just the outcome).
