But where are the shockwave servers, I see all the (or most) of the private servers...wierd..

Probably it's something to do with cache... You don't for any reason use the newest mac version do you? It might keep some kind of a "cache" of the servers recieved... And will check them if it can't connect with the master server

Maybe it's just that Shockwave's down, I'm getting about 11 servers, and all of them are showing up green...

Remember the master server is back up ;)
Yesterday night gnometech was saying it was down, now it says it's up again ;)

Hey Art, I do use the new mac version, but I got the same results using the GG dashboard widget, too.

I don't think it showed up from caching. Right now I see 14 servers in the widget, but none are from SW. Anyone know what's up there? I bet the demo trolls aren't happy if SW isn't running.

So, the Shockwave servers had the master server address in numbers, or they just use a pokey DNS server?

Looks like the DNS wasn't pokey, but the servers are Gumby.

Apparently, when I joined the servers with IP Joiner it reset their connection with the master server, and forced them to re-lookup the IP address of the master server. So after joining eachj of the servers one by one, it looks like all the ones I joined are back up. :)

After seeing how the trolls invaded some of the private servers while there padded servers where down I for one am glad the shockwave servers are back up.
But after seeing the lack of admins in some of the private servers I am concerned these trolls will now keep coming back in. They had enough time to see that some of the servers had no controll. (ie) IA Banlist. That server was so out of control it was a joke. I for one as an admin of a server am going to get tough on these punks. I know have admin rights in 5 private servers and I will not only ban the trolls as we all seem to want to call them, But I am going to start banning these so called veterans who seem to think they can just waltz in and start acting as if they own the place as I saw in roos server yesterday. That was the worst experiance in roos I have ever had and I was ashamed of it. You veteran punks who think just because an admin is your friend you can ruin the game for all the other players are going to learn that is not the case. I don't think Roo, Dash, Dazzle, Nuts, Ouch, Blind Cide, CB, or myself are going to accept the crap that has been going on much longer. It's time you either learn some manors or just not come into the best servers on think tanks. These servers do not just appear out of thin air or come by the fairy god mother. They come from the kind hearts and hard work of the hosters who do it so you can have quality games to play in.
I know there is going to be back lash in this thread from my comments but let me tell you veteran mouths who are going to say your useual remarks when us hosters get frustrated enough to post something like this. Be wise in your comments here BECAUSE I am in no mood to hear your bull and or ideas. I will ban you kick you and down right fight to keep you out from now untill hell freeze's over. I have had enough of it. Your veterans here act like it.
And any hoster who doesn't want me to control there servers and get some respect back to them and want to continue to let idiots take them over then let me know and I'll be sure to stay out of your server from now on.

Really? I have found that 'banlist' is the most consistently well-admin-ed server I have played in, followed closely by roos. Some of the others I have found are FAR too overzealous in their admining - sucking the fun out of the game, and making for dull times.

My $0.02

I was basically without a banlist file in the IA: Banlist Lush Indy server ever since the MI: server went down. That combined with the trolls having nowhere else to go resulted in a bad situation. I've had an older banlist running since yesterday, so with the SW servers showing up hopefully things will be better in my server.

It don't help that the ban doesn't work in IA either so thats why I saty out. :(

Well I for 1 am also tired of what goes on in some of the servers. I have seen where some don't control them selves at any time. I have had times when my player name has been changed without my permission and it STINKS BIG TIME. I'm with GQ if it keeps up me as allso an admin get tired of it so I may join GQ on this part nice forum GQ keep it up. :) XD
