Before his indictment, I. Lewis Libby testified to the grand jury investigating the CIA leak that Cheney told him to pass on information and that it was Bush who authorized the disclosure, the court papers say. According to the documents, the authorization led to the July 8, 2003, conversation between Libby and New York Times reporter Judith Miller.

"Mommy Mommy! I punched Carl because Jimmy told me to and Bobby said it was okay! It's Their Fault!"

Warfare: does the tattle tale work for jimmy and bobby? Are jimmy and bobby elected officials who are sworn to uphold the constituion and abide by the rule of law? Did jimmy and bobby tell the tattler to punch carl because carl told on them for making up reasons to attack a sovereign country? Is carl a covert operative whoes job it is to help keep america safe?

Bad analogy.

^ you make a good point stinky, and I know it was a bad analogy.
The point I was trying to make was Bush and Cheney are not the only people @#%ing up this country.
Sure, Jimmy and Bobby are in trouble too, but that doesnt excuse the tattler for going along with it either.

I met a chick today named Afsineh (Weird name eh?) that was proud to be a Liberal-Democrat, and made it known every other sentance. This person tried to tell me that everything is Bush's fault so I said this:

"If you go and screw something up is it your parents fault because they are responsible for your family?"

This person told me yes.
I dont know what you think, but if I do something wrong, its my fault... Not my parents. I just think this should apply more to government to an extent. Granted, Bush and Cheney are the most responsible for the crap that is happening, but there are others who are screwing up too.

Agreed. Plenty of blame to go around...plenty.

Personally, it would be easier for me to move past this whole "blame it all on bush/cheney" if they were just for once held accountable.

Just for once.

But, they never are...so, here we go again.

I think he is refering to the quote "the buck stops here." a plaque on harry's desk declared this, indicating he wouldn't pass the buck...

Meaning, "I take final responsibility."

Rabby: couldn't you have just used BJ? Intern? Moderating is tuff duty, I know. You know, you can say "blow" and you can say "job" but you need about that much space between em or it gets some folks a twitterin'. :)

I suppose so, but then couldn't you have as well? Besides, I think your original intent is still acutely conveyed to those who get the meaning without pushing the PG rating we're trying to maintain.

even If you're a die-hard 'pub, shouldn't this tell you something about the legitimacy of this fair and balanced nonsense?

Republican TTers have lost their taste for politics I guess. Rather think about sompin else for a while. Then in 2008, they'll snap out of it and do it all over again.

Now there's the beginning of an objective discussion if I've ever seen one. Sorry to decline the invitation, but I don't really feel like sticking my head in your noose so you can watch me dance. ;)

"I don't know of anybody in my administration who leaked classified information," said George W. Bush on September 30, 2003. "If somebody did leak classified information, I'd like to know it, and we'll take the appropriate action."

"If someone leaked classified information," said White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan on October 7, 2003, "the President wants to know. If someone in this administration leaked classified information, they will no longer be a part of this administration, because that's not the way this White House operates, that's not the way this President expects people in his administration to conduct their business."

"I'd like to know if somebody in my White House did leak sensitive information," said Bush on October 28, 2003. On this same day, Bush said, "I have no idea whether we'll find out who the leaker is, partially because, in all due respect to your profession, you do a very good job of protecting the leakers."

Yep, I'm outta the "pub" loop. Bush needs to go. Spends more than Democrats and lies almost as much. They're all crooks. We need a strong third party. Any ideas on that one anybody?
