^^^ is there a way to actually make the Cruiser and jeep Availible on other servers %) That would be cool. would it take a lot of scripting? :P (im not much of a scripter I use good ol' modwiz and mis. Files!lol)btw im making a new mod....andPeople WHO DON'T have 187's jeep and cruiser and arent members On this site will be annoyed by the load. 8o (im using the jeep) and they get all Mad at me cuz it takes forever for it to load with out the file.Doesn't it download into there files once it gets to loading objects? Lots of people wanna use the jeep and cant get in :[ Also...Is the jeep suppost to be Bouncing around when I change the shapefile from light tank to jeep?Its like it has Hydraulics. :'( It Makes my screen shake.its annoying!Big help on this one.

It's complicated to explain if you know nothing on these matters.

1. The first thing you must understand is that there is a difference between server side and client side. The server has the mission file so it controls the loading of the game. So when you are a client you don't have any control over what files are loading.
Except for skins, but skinning is just appearance not actual objects.

2. So, no. You cant use the Jeep and 187Cruiser in just any server because they are server side. Meaning, if the server is not using them then they are not available to be used.

3. As far as in game downloading goes. When a client comes to your server, their game and your game (server) compare files. If they do not have all the files being used in your server than they have to download them from your server. This is an extremely slow process, a 90 kb file takes like 5 minutes.

4. This is why we have the predownload pack at Regent X . Maybe in the next version I can get it added. For know all you can do is tell people to predownload them from MAXWORKS or your own webpage.

5. As far as the shaking goes you need to turn down the Engine TankFx settings.

Those setting are at www.maxworks.com under Original Default Tank Fx Settings

In order for them to properly override the original tankfx.cs they must go at the bottom of the mission file (.mis) your are moding.

Keep in mind that these setting are global and apply to all the tanks so you might want to use the ufo settings and replace the shape-file of the ufo rather than a tank.

If this does not makes sense to you then I will just say this: read the THE NEW MODDING RESOURCE before trying any more modding
