Indeed. I honestly pray that no relatives of any members here were injured. Also, please pray for the souls of the people who have lost their lives in this terrible act and their families.

Nasty stuff. My heart goes out to the families of the victims.

BTW, PEST is a driver with the London Underground. What do u do for a living?

Spent 25 years in Chemical/Pharmaceutical industry as an operator, now I'm a Train Driver on Central Line, with London Underground.
This is PEST with his 8-car Tank, at Epping (not far from Dick Turpin's old stamping-ground in Epping Forest) at about 01.00 hrs, just about to take the drunkards to Woodford.

Thursday, July 07, 2005 at 11:30:38 AM

Is PEST still alive? Jeez, the guys at Euston must be scared to death, if not dead already!

Thursday, July 07, 2005 at 11:32:19 AM

:o I forgot PEST Worked on that route

There was only one bomb on the central line and that was at "Liverpool st."

Why can't we all just live in peace and harmony (spelling ) ! :S

As far as PEST goes: Stop it.

Emailing him was't why I posted the picture. He's always posted when he wanted to. For cryin out loud the guy just works for them. It's a terrible thing that happened, but this "WTF is he dead!" sh*t pisses me off.

He's got enough problems without cartoon tankers emailing him.

^ I emphatically agree.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

@DJ Wings
Their crusade is against the modern world and anyone who would dare to enjoy life. They are anti-man/anti-life. Their focus is on the "afterlife". Fools, those that formulate their life's path according to some afterlife.

@Blind Cide,

Yeah, that's what Bush keeps saying. Nice paraphrase. In short, what he said was: "I'm too dumb to look any deeper than what they do, and don't bother looking for their real motives." YOu know, there was a case a lot like this, where a guy named Timothy McVeigh blew up a building in 2001, and they simply portrayed him as a monster doing it for fun. But in reality, he did it for revenge for a federal massacre in 1995, the largest one since Wounded Knee. It resulted in 127+ killings of peaceful people at... You know where... Waco. And they simply overlooked it and said McVeigh was a monster. Cheap-shots.

By the way, an interesting snippet from the article:

U.S. President George W. Bush was among the somber leaders who stood behind Blair as he spoke.

"We will not yield to these people, will not yield to the terrorists," he said in a short statement after Blair departed. "We will find them, we will bring them to justice, and at the same time we will spread an ideology of hope and compassion that will overwhelm their ideology of hate."

"An ideology of hope and compassion"? For terrorists? That's not what he's done so far in the war on terrorism. And he calls Kerry a flip-flopper...

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 6:59:34 AM

Not for terrorists. Ch hope and compassion for everyone to overwhelm the terrorists hate. Psst overwhelm means to affect deeply in emotion.

Pray to GOD for him to reveal himself to you.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 8:49:00 AM

Well, maybe he should make it more clear.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 9:03:03 AM

How did a thread on empathy and compassion for one's fellow human beings become a political-religious debate? This is a horrific event, and just because something similar happened in the US, and now in the UK doesn't mean that it doesn't continue to happen all over the world. These are not isolated events, they are planned, coordinated and executed with little concern for other peoples of the world. Do not cheapen the lives that have been lost by arguing about political or religious issues.

Real people have died. Real people are suffering. This isn't about Bush, or Blair, it's about people who have lost family, it's about kids who have lost their parents. You want to honor or extend sympathy to this tragedy? Consider the losses of the nameless pictures you see in the media, and see them as people you may have known or loved.

People just can't resist the urge to stand on their soapboxes.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 9:25:22 AM

If you think we're posting our sympathies just to look good then you are seriously underestimating us. This thread is not about 9/11, Bush, Blair or anything else. This is just to extend our emotional and moral support to them during a time of trouble and pain.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 9:45:04 AM

Amen Mem, TMO.

Friday, July 08, 2005 at 10:04:38 AM

I'm not religious, so, no, I don't pray for them. And if you'll notice above, I never said I would. Those folks who did say that are likely religious, and I can only assume that they did indeed pray for them.

...you are seriously underestimating us.

I think you mean "misunderestimating."

I wanted to say the same as chief said. Those things are meant for politics and they hit the citizens. That is not the way it should! (I m not saying that it should hit the politicians [or however u write that lol])
