While in a Scrum game yesterday, someone started posting a link claiming you could get a free full version of TT. Is this true? If so, what is the link addy? Next question, is the demo version broken? My friend DL the demo version and has been unsuccessful in getting it to operate.

You really dont expect people to tell you how to get a full version for free here do you? Most people want the game to continue and giving away pirated copies is not going to help.

Many people know the link to get "Big Macs" or "Cheerios". But do you really expect us to post them on here in public, I think not.

[Edited by 56k.. You don't need to give out search terms in your post.

Fat Chick, the link posted was an illegal way to get a copy of ThinkTanks. The only legal way to get it for free is to convince someone to buy it for you. Birthdays are great for that....

As for the Demo version not operating, usually this is a problem with the video card or some other aspect of the person's computer set up. If the computer is fairly new and has a decent video card, try reinstaling the drivers for the vido card, as this tends to fix quite a few issues.

Say what you will about it being illegal. Ive seen people since this post in game spamming the addresses. So yes, I expect people to post it in public. I have no idea if they are real or a scam. I already have a legit copy for over a year now. No need for me or my friend since they cant even get their demo working.

That's a bummer sheena. A legit user giving the registration number away is a bad idea. After a certain number of different activations on different machines, the registration number will be automatically disabled.

BraveTree/GarageGames runs an internet registration system. In other words, you have to be connected to the internet to register. I still don't know why they haven't prevented duplicate reg. Codes! :[ E-mail Dan or IM him. It's in his profile.

In fact we do. There is a little bit of leeway granted so someone can install ThinkTanks on 2 machines (like their desktop and their laptop).. People have abused this by sharing reg codes. Once in a while, the people that share these codes 'mysteriously' start to have problems with their Thinktanks installs. So, a warning for those who share their codes.. Don't be surprised if things stop working correctly.
