He's baaack! Yeah, I know, didn't Paisano retire from PTT? Well, as a wise man once said, "sooner or later, they all come back!" Anyway, I won't ever post as often as I used to, but I will come back and contribute whenever I feel that I have something worthy of sharing, such as this idea I had for setting up a TT Cemetery .

People come and go all the time on ThinkTanks. Some leave long lasting impressions while others just vaporize as quickly as e a fart during a hurricane (didn't know Pai was a poet, huh?). In any event, I think it would be nice to establish a ThinkTanks Cemetery where players can be remembered...for better or worse. It's not a Hall of Fame as I've proposed in the past. That list is for the cream of the crop, the best of the best. The TT Graveyard is for ALL kinds of players, some great, some not so great and some that were just a great pain in the arsenal! For example, Anonymous and Chong©!

Now some of you will wonder why in the world would we want to waste any of our precious time remembering the jerks and misfits of TT. Well, I can understand the complaint, but I will counter with the fact that we must be include the good with the bad if we want to truly be honest to the TT experience. We must acknowledge the darkside (Star Wars reference for you geekoids) if we are going to honor the light (the Force, again for you lame-o's). Such is the ying and yang of life as well as in a cartoon tank game.

The best solution would be to maintain this TT Cemetery on Planetthinktanks.com. We should all be able to contribute to it any time. If someone disagrees with anything written about a retired player then they have the right to object and possibly have the statement removed or edited. At the very least, the differing opinion should be included with the player's review, much as they do on eBay when buyers make a comment about the seller and the experience they had. The buyer has the right to comment on any comment made because sometimes people see things differently.

So, I will get the ball rolling and contribute some names to the TT Cemetery. Some of these players are indeed finished with the grand old game for good, while others are semi-retired with one foot in the grave. There are also names on this list of players who have not retired at all, but who have retired the name and persona they used to use. For example, we don't see gnat anymore, but PREY continues to play (he was gnat according to IP addresses). The same is true for many others. If you own any of the names in the TT Cemetery and want to make a public confession, then please do so. You can do it in this thread or just by emailing me.

Also, feel free to send me any thoughts, comments or opinions about any of the players on this list. If you want to contribute a name of a former player that you don't see on this list, then please send it to me along with any memories you have of that player.

So, welcome to the tank graveyard, otherwise known as the ThinkTanks Cemetery. Whether you liked them or not, whether they were good sports or not, we should pay our respects to all of them because they were (at least for a brief period of time) part of the TT community. Also keep in mind that you too will someday wind up buried in this place when you hang up your tank treads. How do you want to be remembered?

Compliments to Prey and Pai for having the first successful group hug in our humble little history.
It was something to see.
