I've tried changing a line in my prefs.cs file...

$pref::Audio::masterVolume = 1;

...by replacing the "1" with a ".3", but when I get into the game it's loud again. I've turned it down as much as I can using the TT options slider, but it's still too loud. When I reopen the prefs.cs file, my ".3" has been replaced with a "1".

Is there someplace else I need to make this change?

Ah,Audacity's Volume option,modify the music directly and decrease it's volume there.

I don't have a link,but I imagine someone will come up with it.

Police, it's only in one prefs.cs file...

The thing that works fro me is if you go in, pick your name, click accept and go to the options menu on the tank select screen.

Audacity ROCKS!!! My brother DJ Marik uses it and winamp to make mixes... Its ogg and mp3 import/export is very helpful... Or so he tells me... Shud I believe him?

@ BillyBob - I'm trying to lower the sound effects (tank engine, shot impacts, etc) within a game (any game). I've turned my volume all the way down using the slider controls, but it's not having that much of an effect. I want the in game sounds low so I can heard my team mates in voice chat.

Rabban have u looked at the master volume settings in windows
Maybe your wav volume is up even tho your master slider is down
rt click on the volume control in the system tray
and chose Open Volume Control
and check all the volume meters
Hope this helps
