Page : <1> :

Hey all,

I'm looking at getting a new graphics card, but my dad doesn't want to spend over $190, I'm currently looking at this XFX 6600 , but it's at the top of my prace range, any suggestions? The only things I'm restricted to are:

It must be AGP
It must be nVidia (We like nVidia more)
It must be compatible with some aftermarket heatsink

Thanks

No AGP??? Mine, I think, is. But for $190? Not bad, Racer.

^ no AGP? What do you mean?

I meant it has to be AGP 8x.

I like my 6600, no problems.

BTW, make sure it supports your monitor and hardware.

^ I am going to buy an aftermarket heaksink/fan for it anyway.

Or get a liquid-cooling system...

^ I dont want to risk it, because if it springs a leak or something...

..all my precious hardware goes down the drain.

^^ Thanks, I was almost going to get a ThermalTake heatsink, but man those things are huge!

I'm looking now at an Aopen 6600 which you can find Here with 256mb of DDR .

*Hugs his overclocked 6800 GT* ;)

Racer: that 6600 looks to me like a good bet... Will probably even be able to run Doom3 or HL2 nicely (1024x768) if youre into that sort of thing. (And for only 160 too...)

I don't play Doom 3, however, I do play NFSU2 alot, which is a graphics hogger.

I wouldn't trust a cad with 256mb ddr for only $160. See if you can find some reviews on the card, and company.

All I can find is the PCI Express version of it, however, it's nearly the same exact card but just a different interface.

I read many reveiws and it looks like a really good card.
