Ok this is how it works

Its a 1v1 tournament that is held in freudian flats

There will be 3 spots open

2 for the fighters and 1 for a ref(the ref can be ne one)

There are 15 spots open for this tourny

Winner will be pronounced the best 1v1 in the BMT 1.0

Around the middle of September im gunna pick the people who are gunna fight.

There are 3 seasons Winter 1.0 Spring 1.0 and summer 1.0

Whoever wins the match will move onto next round ur signing up please leave ur email and tell me if ur gunna be away to tell u all im gunna be away for 2 weeks from Wednesday

If u win all 3 seasons, ull get the Profesional ThinkTanks Trophy Award(look at the begining of each word and I dont mean the T in tanks)

If I were to participate, would it be possible for me to play all my games on weekends only? Weekdays I'm occupied with loads of work. That's my only requirement for joining. Otherwise I'm very keen on playing a 1 vs 1 bm tournament, since it is one of my favorite variants.

I'll send you my email right away if confirmed yes on weekends for my part.

Btw, I think you should leave another 10 or so player slots open, in case there are more willing to participate in this. Since there are only 2 players involved in each game, you could quite easily arrange for more than 1 game per session. Surely, it would be quite easy to schedule perhaps 6 games or more on each event.

Make sure the ref is an experienced player...or vet..... Or that he will not cheat one. I have no time, cuz I'm in TBML...and u are too...but good luck running it :)

I think that this could be arranged to be done in one or maybe two weekends. Shouldn't have to take too much longer to get the games played. Someone is hosting and will let his/her server up for the remainder of the weekend so that people can get their games played.

For instance, weekend one; qualification games. Those who win will make it to weekend number two.

Weekend two; playoffs. Those who win the playoff's will meet in quarter finals and semifinals. If this is organized effectively, we should be able to get the final game played on this same weekend too.

Due to mine - and probably other players - involvement in the TBML and Psychoscrum leagues, it would be of a certain interest to get this played during a short, or limited time period, so that it doesn't interfere too much with the other leagues.

Finally, let's hear it from MORE players to join this thing. I want to see more names on that list up there. Come on, you weaklings. I know you're there, no need to hide. And don't say you "don't like one on one encounters", I don't buy it. XD XD

I mean. Every now and then, you all confront (and like doing it) other players, face to face in the casual pick-up games on TBML servers. Those of you players that are supposed to be 'good', gathering points from easy killing, smoking tanks; here is your chance to live up to your reputation.

I know, that team awareness and team play is a great skill to have. And I'm constantly trying to improve there (lots of room left to improve). But in my heart, I'm a solo player. Or at least, I could say, I like to hone my solo skills MOST of the time in this game. So that's why I'd really really like this one on one tourney to take place. To me, it seems like a natural thing to do, having a 1-on-1 tourney next to all of the other leagues and tourneys out there.

But, for some reason: I get the picture that ONE on ONE gameplay seems to be suffering from a dark, conservative and very sceptically inclined sort of taboo ...

Well, maybe that has to do with the reason, that most of the players in here can't deal with loosing.

My point is. Loosing is good. I like loosing. Loosing is even better than winning. You're never going to make a career, anywhere , by starting out winning. It's a fact.

So, to all of you who have been skimming this thread through and decided not to participate in this - don't be afraid of loosing. It won't hurt. You can only improve from it. :)

In fact, it all starts with One-on-One. If you're good in One-on-One, you've got all you need to become a great player in all of the other disciplines. Does the same rule count, the other way around? No. You can be as good a team player as you want; but you won't be much of a threat if you're competing against players who have gone through the initial, one and only, One-on-One school.

That being said, of course, if you meet good One-on-One players in a team oriented game such as TBM or Team Scrum, who doesn't pay any attention at all to where they are moving their tank, that is going to make the game situation more difficult to predict. But as soon as those One-on-One taught players get their team coordination going, you're in for trouble, if you haven't been sparring enough One-on-One.

Ok. When will I play Cadc? Possible to do it tomorrow, Sunday? Today is terrible for me due to a business meeting plus a league game and an army practice. Sunday, from about 10 or 11 AM EST until late evening would be totally cool for me though.

If I'm not wrong here, I believe that Cadc is also a weekends gamer like me ;)

PS. Warlock, buddy. There is no way one could have a clue what exactly that game schedule says up there ^. I hope I'm not too annoying, but could you please tidy it up a little bit, so that one knows who will be the referee and who will play. I'm sorry if I'm being a perfectionist. XD

This weekend I'd like to have some sacrificial lambs. Anyone who is up for it, please contact me and we'll arrange for some quickies (email is in my profile). You can host and pick any map you like, no problem. Everything allowed; health, powerups, you name it. Only one rule apply; don't whine when you loose.

Btw, I propose we change the structure of this thing into the following.

Any player can play any other player whenever they see fit. Instead of making this a league type of thing, or a tourney, I suggest that you instead make it a list of players with the following stats:

NAME:
:w:I:z:a:r:d:
GAMES PLAYED / WON / TIED / LOST
10 / 10 / 00 / 00
GAMES HOSTED:
00/10

...etc.

This means, the more challenges you've done, the more accurate and relevant your stats will become; one guy or girl who has won 100% of his or her games is not necessarily better (probably not) than one who played 15 games and won 8, etc. Maybe a ratio system would be nice.

This way someone (maybe Warlock) could continuously update the current stats for all players and everyone could easily see who's the best (as if you didn't already know it, but). On a side note, it would also prevent this from colliding with any other leagues out there and furthermore, also be much easier to get going with.

Just pick an opponent, battle it out and report the results to whoever is the commisioner for this.
