The principles of intelligent playing are every bit as important as the actual hands on process of developing superior technical skill. Speed and accuracy are essential, but to really succeed against experienced shooters you must develop an intelligent tactical awareness of every aspect of the game. Knowing the map; Paying attention to the current locations and positions of all the other players (using your radar); These are every bit as important as shooting quickly and accurately. I believe that it is most important to keep your tank from being exposed. Above all else, don't be out in the open any longer than is absolutely necessary to get a power-up and get behind something.

If a real shooter can see you, you're dead.

Real shooters are poised and ready to fire at a selected target from a discreet place of surveillance before they stick their necks out. Know where your target is; Know where other shooters are in relation to your location. If you get the advantage of pinning down a target, be patient and don't waste a whole clip after they've already darted behind something. Hold your position and concentrate on the plane, left and right, where you know they must move to be able to see you...(You might also want to take a quick glance to see if the coast is clear). When they do look around to return fire, if you're cool, calm and collected, you will succeed because you have the advantage.

Remember: If a superior shooter can see you, it's probably too late. If you don't believe me...I invite you to join us at Repent's. (A friendly invitation; just a friendly invitation.) B)
