I played two PS Team Scrum league games recently and was I ever shocked (no pun intended since I played with Bolo and his Shell Shockers) by the amazing differences between solo and team scrum! Obviously, there is going to be a huge difference between the two versions of scrum, but there is a lot more than you would ever imagine!

Another big difference for me was playing on the frantic map as opposed to the lush maps that I almost always play on!

Holy smokes!!! It is night and day different!

I'd like to hear what you seasoned veterans think are the keys to success in both solo and team scrum.

What are the most important tactics in either game?

Thanks

Lets see, I know I am not the greatest scrummer, but I know I am good, here are a few staragy's I use:

1: When your smoking get the flag then jump into the fog unless your near the goal, this strayegy enables you get get full health and a perfectly even chance to score.

2: Dont camp, you probably dont, but if you do everyone in the game will kill you, no one likes a camper.

3: When someone on your team has the flag, dont worry bout getting it for your self, its a lot better if you kill a person on the OTHER team closest to the flag, so they dont get a chance to Bump/Kill the player with the flag.

4: Scrum takes lots of attention, so dont be talking during TS because TS also has a lot to do with battle mode.

I hope these helped you, there are a lot of other strayegy's that id love to show you, but, well I have to show you, maybe we can arrange a meeting...

1 and 2 are completely bogus.....3 and 4 are straight.....pai stick to the emails I sent u about strategies...think I pretty much covered everything....they are a compilation of observations of 6 months of watching the best and playing with the best....dont share the info with anyone else...only the select few people I like or or on my team get the info.....let them learn by watching like the rest of us have....makes sense...im not gonna post LC's strategies on the forums for all to see....

Dont swallow everything everyone tells u on this forum (myself included)....some things work for some people and some things dont....try to find me and rooks when we play team scrum and get on our team....the only way to get better is to play TS not scrum...also if aza decides to put up FOS (field of screams) that is great practice....cya

Think of your own strategys, if you copy someone you are never going to be better than them.

Paisano.. You are correct about them being two completely different feeling games.. Regular scrum is pretty much a melee if you have more than a handfull of tanks with the scorer being the last one alive or in the right position at the goal. The keys to regular scrum are
1. Don't draw attention to yourself (I am poor at this)
2. Be at the right place at the right time.. Ie. The goal.
3. Pray for freebees.. But for goodness sake don't cliff dive to try to get them.. We will all think less of you.

Team scrum can be nothing more that team version of regular melee but sometimes it can be quite fun.
The key to team scrum is to decide which player type you are best at.. If its battlemoding then hang around the goal and keep the other team from camping. If its dodging and running then go for the scrum. If you are good at reading the map, your team and the enemy then play defensive (this is usually my style) Go for takeaways, blocks, kills and goals when you see them develop but support your runners by being where they need you to be.. Ie. Turn pads for them, delay enemy players allowing a 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 at goal, even though you aren't there you are delaying an enemy and betting on your teams ability (if its there)..

"Please don't resort to diving.. In team or regular scrum!"

Hello everyone,

I am new to all of this. I have become pretty good considering I am a week old player.
I am looking for buddies or team to join. Please monitor my progress against other players. Let my skills and success be the best indicator I whether you want me on your team.

Dingo

P.s. I am getting addicted to this.

Howdy dingo! Good to have you.
I thought you were an alias at first, but you are pretty good for the time you have played. Keep it up!

Eviltwin and aliensexist,

Thanks for responding. How do I get more involved. Psychoscrum and the other events are probably for veteran players. But I will certainly continue to improve.
