When I change from password enabled to disabled in prefs to run my mod , the file changes don't save. It was up and running just fine lastnight, but I forgot to put in spawn point(DUH!)- So I put them in tonight and disabled the pass and saved the pref files using save and save as, launched dedicated and in server list it's still password enabled. I go back and look at the pref files and they have magically changed back. Why won't they stay saved? Chineseknife.

Do File,Save as.

Click prefs,and save over with your modified prefs.

Hi CK
Sometimes the game balks at manually manipulated passwords in the pref.cs
Heres what I did as a workaround
1. Launch your game and go to the "Create" section
2. In the Create section set ur bots - name your server and enable the password w/password
3. Go back one screen and then exit (this forces a rewrite of the pref.cs)
4. Open pref.cs in notepad - scroll down to the $Pref::Password ="password";
line and change it to this for no pass $Pref::Password = "";
then if you want a pass again just add it between the quotations

I run across this problem setting up league servers all the time. There are 2 pref files. If they don't agree it goes back to the last settings.

Make sure you disable the password settings in both:
Resources/game/server/prefs.cs
Resources/game/client/prefs.cs

Well, duh....U.R. Right. I never noticed. Also, what file do the codes go? I know codes are a "no-no", but I would like to have them.CK.
