I heard first about the Torque Game Engine on The Gamesome Mac . I thought 'that's the game engine that's right for me!'. So I headed on over to the GG site, checked out TGE, eventually purchased it, and looked at Marble Blast Gold, Orbz and ThinkTanks as well. I downloaded the ThinkTanks demo, and thought "This is the best game ever made". I purchased the game from Shockwave, as I thought that GG distributed all their products via that darn CVS %).

Your mama told me.... (LOL... I always wanted to say something like that... I see why you guys think it is funny!!!)

I saw a link about TT on "Inside Mac Games". Tried the demo for about 30 seconds, knew I was on to something good and immediately turned over the cash.

I read an article on MacCentral back in Spring 2003 right before the game was officially released.

Heh. I remember Peter Cohen's (Chief editor for MacCentral) description of it as "driving around in a cartoon like tank with a disembodied brain"
Someone on the forums questioned: "Aren't all FPS games like you're a disembodied brain?"
Peter's response was: "But this is LITERALLY a disembodied brain. You have to check it out"

I thought, sounds interesting, maybe I will check it out, which I did as soon as it was released. Bought it shortly after and the rest is history.

OM told me about it at one of the swingers parties we attend.

Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to be on my toes.

Invite a retard to a picnic and you'd better expect to get drool in the potato salad.

Found it in the downloads (games) directory on Apple's website. Played the demo for a couple of weeks and then bought it from GG.

There's the guy in my neighborhood named G-Money....he had been after me for months to try it, but I refused, as I learned in school to "just say no." Finally, one day he gave me a demo and I was hooked.....

DAMN YOU G-MONEY!!!!!!

Dammit ROGUE! I told you not to mention that to anyone, didn't I? You're going to have to be punished for that now.

I stumbled upon it at Shockwave.com. It was during my Collapse phase and we were all playing different games here at the office. Someone suggested Shockwave.com was a good place to look and the rest is history.

I remember I finally bought it because I was tried of getting booted from scrum games that I was winning in my medium. Man, how things change.

Same as Napalm. I used to browse all the new games that came out on Apple's OS X software directory, looking for the perfect game. Found a few things, but then one day Think Tanks came up! That was it - I found what I had been searching for for years!

Back at Shockwave.com. I was a big fan of their games, and when TT came out, I couldn't resist... Dang good thing, too.

I too saw the article on MacCentral.com, way back in 2003.
There was a link to Garage Games I believe where I downloaded the demo.
Dar , kj and I played the demo for quite a while.
One day kj hit the online button...and Lo and Behold a new world awaited us.
(We had never played online games before)

We would get on the indie scrum games, a particularly rude individual named PREY would shoot us in the back and make us very mad.
Finally some gentlemen like Azazel, Tank Dork, HugoBrain, Jangles came along and shot us in the front.
We felt much better about that.
Here we still is.

A coworker told me about TT and the GG website. My buddy stopped playing TT long ago, but my addiction continues.

When I got the game (Not sure if this is right) I played quick play and played for about 1 hour. I got the game From Shockwave ah bout 18-19 months ago. Then accendently pressed the On-line button and " a new world awaited " me.... The first person I remember was Mars, then Demoltion Man, ishbuu and others...... Damn they were hard!...
After looking at the email, I got it from Shockwave B)

Downloaded the demo sometime in spring 2003 not sure how I found it though. First person I met was Jangles whom's skill far surpassed mine and so my brain was in the air a lot in that BM game %). Soon thereafter I bought the game from GG on May 8th, 2003. My demo name was DEMO(Mike).

Sometime in '04 I was lookin in MacWorld, I forget exactly where, probably the game section (which I never, look at, since I had never really played any games) and I got the demo, and played it for a few weeks, then got the game from SW, and have played it ever since (besides the odd nap in front of the computer :P)

I found a dowload link on apple.com and downloaded it. Little did I know that soon, I would be hooked on a great game that would never dissappoint me. What dissappoints me is my comptuer's technical performance.
