What kind of bird is it? And do you know for sure if it is a boy or a girl?
I have birds, I know a bit about them...
Mostly, what we would call "girlish" is actually a male trait for some birds... And vice versa...
Questions you should ask:
Has the bird been into contact with another bird of the same species?
Does the bird show signs of nesting?
Is the bird irritable?
Has the bird's eating habits been disrupted?
Is the bird breathing open-beaked? (If a bird is breathing through its mouth constantly seek medical attention pronto! Birds do this when they are sick)
