One of my best tactics, I have done, is the Rim Surfing Tactic. How you do it, is that you move on the rim of the map, or the side of the cliffs, and you are able to slip right behind your enemy unnoticed, by moving on the very edge of the amp, where you are right by the fog. That is really good, and its not hiding, its sniping and surprise. This works best in Lush areas.

I agree AncientOne- this is a tactic I have used before, though rarely, for just that reason: I don't want to become known as a hider/camper. But none-the-less still considered legal in my book. CK
p.s. I have seen u use it Ancient, you ARE good at it. Good for u, but bad for me. XD ;)

I will keep an eye our for ya - thanks for the tip - LOL. Still some would say that smacks of cliff hangin - which will get you hung in most servers.

Nah- used it quite a bit. You have to use it carefully though. The enemy looks at his radar to closely and you're busted. And it works best on Medulla Mesa as it has the best edges for being able to move at any speed while remaining below line of sight.

Well I rarely use it anymore. I now run into the huge mob and kill and die. I did that once in Lep's Lair, and came out at the top with 9 points in the end!! Isn't that something?

Only one problem. Remember your little friend called, "Radar"?

Most people don't check their radar unfortunately, unless they are very alert and not shooting at an enemy.

I use the radar! You can defiently tell when someone doesn't use their radar! You usally can shoot them in the back, because they don't check that cirlce down in the reight side!!! Idiots!

I know! It's just like saying "Is it ok if I kill you now? Ok. You're very nice." And then he dies. You know, why do some people think radar is there to help? It's actually for survival! I wouldn't be as good as I am now (not that good but good) if it weren't for radar. Always use it!

About cliff hanging...

I dont think this would be frowned upon.

I think most serious players dislike players that ROUTINELY choose to hang on the side, and do so over and over again during the course of a single game.

My 2 cents.

I'm new to TT but cliff hanging in scrum seems perfectly legit to me. It tends to stall the game but that's okay, it draws a crowd to the edge and it is fun to watch tanks get pushed over or drawn over. I've fallen for that a few times before I figured how to go slowly over the edge. So long as hanging doesn't turn into deliberate diving. 8(
