Hey Chief,
Hmm wierd. So both machines are behind the same router? On first machine you can see other online servers but not the one from the other machine?
I have done the same thing: host on one machine and play on another on the same network and it worked fine.

You're at your workplace... Could something be blocking your computer (inside firewall) from playing a game (also inside your firewall)? You know what I mean? Maybe it's allowing the server / game to go out but not allowing you to go out AND come back in...
Just a thought... I'm a software guy...

Thanks for responding fellas.
Yeah, it's the damnedest thing. I even tried starting up TT on the hosting machine to see if at least that one would see the server....nada. Now *that's* wacky.
When I played and hosted on the same machine I could see the server twice - the ping from inside the network and the one from the master server.
Both machines are on the same netwotk as well - behind the same router, etc.
I've allowed the TT app to pass thru the firewall so there should be no issues there. Also, changed the router settings to allow UDP as well as TCP/IP requests so that can't be it.
Sil - where should I look?
(sitting here scratching my head)
I'm having a similar problem. What kind of router?
@ BC
Linksys BEFW1184 V.2
Also - noticed that the master server pings are coming in on port 28002.......
I "upgraded" to a newer D-link from an older D-link and now I'm having the same problem you are.
Have you rebooted or powered down the router since changing the settings?
What ports have you allowed? Each instance will need a specific port. I Have seen (running multiple server instances) the log file error trying a 28001 port and then connecting on the next port. The next instance did the same settling on one high port number that the previous.
Maybe additional ports need to be opned?

Me too.

Yes - I actually got to the point of powering everything down and then going to the circuit breaker and throwing the switch for good measure. Now all the clocks in here are blinking......
@ Nap
That hit me last night - I opened them all up up to 28005. Still nada.
I got a 3rd, even newer D-link (they're cheap), and this one behaves properly.
Routers are fairly cheap these days. You may want to try a different model or brand. Good luck Chief.
Yeah - that's probably what I am going to wind up doing - hopefully by this weekend. I am getting tired of running a ded server and playing TT on this machine....I literally have to point a fan at the machine to keep it from overheating and it keeps blowing my ashtray all over the place.........
A WIERD HAPPENED TODAY. A GAME TRIED TO TAKE OVER A PERSON.IT TOKEOVER ONE PERSON AND STEL IS.

What tha heck do you mean? Are you saying that a server is having a person hostage and the person is a slave for that server?
"The day when servers make their hosts... Slaves"
Also what is the deal with the caps?

Okay - here's the deal:
I finally got tired of this computer overheating when I would play in the server I host - for some reason Dell's suckiness kicks in and the machine locks up.
SO, I d/l'd another copy to a desktop that is on my workplace network. Went into the router and changed the port forwarding from my machine to the new one.
Here's the funky part: I can't see the server. Other people can, as I watched several people join the server on the console - watched it getting requests from the master server, etc.
I know I have got to be missing something really simple - but can't think of anything.
Anyone have any ideas?
(sorry for the duplicate post - also posted in help section and got no response)
