Hi Sk
I'm also partal to a bottle of red or two and inparticular Rioja. My favorite one is Fastino V Rioja, relatively inexpensive and very sumptuos. Also very good are the Wolfblass wines especially the yellow label whether in Cab Sav or Shiraz variety.
Some others worth trying are Castillio Del Diablo Rioja (Castle of the Devil X/ ) and Chateau Neuf Du Pap (although over priced here in UK).
However on hot summers day nothing beats an ice cold bottle of Stella B).
An ice cold bottle of the wifebeater?
Nah, if you're going to talk about beers... Marstons double drop. Beautiful stuff.
@ SK Samuel Adams is probably the only mass produced "good" beer that you would have access to. There are many really good smaller beers in the States that most likely don't export. Two of my favorites are Penn Pilsner and Pete's Wicked Ale.
That being said, if you saw me in a shockwave server yesterday just sitting there, I was probably in the middle of one of my 37 trips to the dumper due to a previous night of very hot wings and 23 ounce Miller Lites. Hurt worse coming out.
I've got a fever, and the only prescription, is more cowbell.

I have a stash of Redgate Cab Sav 1995 (from margaret river W.A)
Best red I have ever tasted, but only have a few left. Dont think you'd be able to get that vintage anymore but the 2001 is still floating around and its pretty good also.
Drop around and I'll crack open one.

Everyone knows im a heineken guy, although im not going to talk too much on this subject as im slightly underage ;)
I love my randylion
Lets just narrow it down to 2 beers...
An everday Keystone...or a good old Coors Light
Not a wine drinker but am a big fan of grey goose or abosolute manderine...wasn't much big of a fan on the other flavors...make a trip down here sk...seriously bud ameria is all about beer.
American beer sucks for the most part. I like moosehead, guiness, sam adams, grolsh, becks, honey brown, mickeys, red stripe. Those are the most readily available alternatives to the water and piss crap we sell as domestics.
I hate wine and stuff that hangs me over...
MooseHead, eh?
Miller High Life, the champagne of beers, and Grain Belt Premium. Unless I'm feeling like I actually want to taste the beer, then I try to find a Fat Tire Ale (MicroBrew out of Denver), or the good old Leiney standards.
Becks dark is the favorite. Yuengling, especially the dark Black & Tan is currently stocked in full in the fridge. Also enjoy the Saranac Black Forest on occasion, another local brew, very dark also. I'm pretty sure one of the members of this very game dumped a tractor trailer of it on the thruway a few years back, I remember hearing a traffic report on it too.
The wife sips wine, mostly local stuff, this area of NY is known as wine country.
As I live in Northern California I pass vineyards all the time (half a dozen today). I've been working my way around to trying quite a few of them. It's kind of hit a miss, sometimes I find a really good one but then the next bottle can be crap. But I'm having a good time doing it. I work with a whole bunch of French guys who are doing the same.
As for beer, can't stand the stuff. It reminds me of the moldy nasty stuff that was in the corners of the Old Granary on the ranch in Montana. Just can't stand the smell, makes me want to hurl.

Not sure if you're talkin about me or not, but my Black Forest mishap involved a keg falling off the top of a pallet of 12, and spewing its contents all over the box of the truck. Talk about smells that make ya want to hurl...
Some great vino in Banshee's neck of the woods- I can't remember the name of the vineyard, but Love Goat Red is some good stuff. As for brewskies, SK is right on with Sam Adams. There's a zillion micro brews on the shelf, most are pretty good, I don't really have a favorite. When I'm out at a decent place, I'll get a Guiness/Bass black and tan, or just a Heiney. PBR is mandatory at the bowling alley, though.
You guys are all forgetting to mention the all-American classics: Piel's, Millwaukee's Best (beast), and Black Label. And don't forget the exotics- (40oz only) Coqui and Country Club. Local favorites on Syracuse's south side.

Hello People of Planet TT,
There is one topic that I love to talk about almost as much as chics, and that's alcohol. Maybe because it actually makes certain girls appear or seem more attractive once I have drunk the darned thing.
I went to the bottle shop, and bought some Samuel Adams beer today, and was rather impressed with the taste, and was curious as to what other fine beers are on the shelves in the States or in the World. Other that drinking beer nothing goes down better than a good bottle of wine. I tend to prefer a good drop of red over white, however I have been known to drink a good savignon blanc in my spare time.
Over here the market for wines is larger than life, and we have such a nice variety of wines.
I am curious to know which good drops of wines are you drinking at the moment. I am always seeking to try new things.
