BTW -- Where are all the good players(for Battlmode)? Everyone seems to stink nowadays.

Well, they sometimes are annoying with what they say. With me I am irratated by the fact they cant find a decent name. There all these stupid names that ppl use. Most of the ones I do see are based of either the game or off bots.
I've seen this a little, but it hasn't been a big problem for me. I do get your point though and it does seem like a cheap tactic. Guess all's fair in war, but I suppose it would be nice to be able to block people from posing as bots. I'd think one of the scripters out there would be able to write something that would either block or change the name of people how try to use |bot| in their name, but then the good guys you mentioned wouldn't be able to use it as well.
Just proof that there's always going to be jerks we have to deal with in this world.
Hehe. I've never used this particular tactic, but I remember the early days playing as Beelze |Bot| before people got sophisticated about being able to tell the difference between brain colors.

YOU HAVE THE POWER, If they don't like being renamed they can always be booted. Talk to your freindly neighborhood server owner. Maybe the server owner can name the bots something unique so they bots are more distinguishable.
The server owner may agree that mimmics should be renames something unique as soon as they are discovered.
Feel free to rename any bot impersonators in my servers. Also feel free to rename me Mr. Offensive at any time too. XD
Hehe for some odd reason the thread name cracked me up.
I think it would be good to rename players who use unoriginal bot names such as Ri [Bot], Hum [Bot] or even Helen, Snack, Lion...
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
I agree that impersonating a bot is a cheap tactic, but look for |Bot| instead of [Bot]. In private servers, rename them by changing |Bot| to |FakeBot|... That should mess with them enough.
@Triv- the title got me too. I was wondering if someone was complaining about a player driving around in circles, diving, and shooting at rocks.

|bot| players seem to be more prevalent in SW servers than others in my view. Some are good, and others are a waste of time. I guess people will try anything. The key to success to being good driver, and avoid bullets, shooting is the easier part of this game.
As for good battlemode players, well my guess is as good as yours. I love to play bm, as opposed to tbm, but there aren't enough players willing to play. If you organize a weekly event I will be there MM.

Heh yes, I have seen those types of players. One time, I began cussing at what I assumed to be a bot, and suddenly the bot says ,"wtf is wrong with you?" Heh good times.. XD

Isnt there an army named BOT that is probanly who they were and if you want to play battlemode come find me sometime I love bm scrum is ok but I love shooting better XD
