I was looking at the member list today to get a feel for how many people play think tanks and I noticed that there were higher ranks that your able to promote to. For instance I saw that you could be a plain member, a moderater, and an "admin". I just thought that was cool and I want to know how to test to recieve a promotion. If you know how please post. Thanx

Well,Moderators are hand picked by admins,I think. You got to be a respectable person. To be admin? Uhhhhh,1 in a 1,000,000,000,000 chance.

Members is everyone.

Moderators are long-time respectable members of the TT and PTT community (that didn't post too many inane/indecent/18A/offensive posts). Also a new batch (~5) of Moderators were recently voted in by the community. I think we're 7-8 now. Moderators have extra options and can lock, edit or delete threads and posts.

You don't get 'promoted' per se. Moderators is just work. It's a community service.

Admins are -Z- and Dan McDonald. They 'own' PTT, in the sense they pay/paid for it and work/worked to build it since its inception. They have all the moderators' poweres plus more - like booting someone off PTT.
