Where can I find if the port is right
Go to prefs.cs. You should find a line that says:
$pref::Server::Port = 28000;
Or at least I hope it should look like that. I don't have access to my TT files right now, so it might be a little different. Just make sure the port is 28000.
Judging from the screenie on the bottom, you don't seem to have any problem.
Are you running thru a router?
If so you have to allow TT to server thru it
Open UDP ports 28000-28010 and point it to your machine
Yes, im running a router?
but where can I find the UDP ports
I would be greatful if u coulld explain that in a little more detail as I am not great with Comps..
Thanx in advance,
Edger Jr
But de weird thing is it does run and I can see it running when im in TT looking @ service list...
AND if u look at the ping it reads "0"
Edger
As you can see from the sceenie of the console your computer is not answering the
master server
The changes you need to make are in your router settings
Who made it - uh Linksys?
What model number?
Go to the manufacturer website and read about Port Forwarding
The port you need to open is UDP 28000
This will allow your server a specific path out
Oh and when its set correctly you will probably see your server name twice in the Join Game List
One plays internal Ping 0
the other is external to the master server Ping = something
Enjoy the road to discovery
