Too much XD now. I think that is one of the only glitches in Mac. Try doing the "lock icons".

Control+P buttons will take a screenshot. The Screenshots you take can then be found in numerical order inside the package contents of your game. Control Click the ThinkTanks icon and select Show Package Contents to reach there.

You could probably change the screenshot binding, somewhere.

What script is it in?

Apple + Shift + 3 = Save picture of screen as file
Apple + Shift + 4 = Save picture of selected area as file

Learn more about your Mac and what it can do. MAC OS X Tiger has many features that go far far beyond what is advertised on TV.

To learn more about your default keyboard shortcuts.

Goto to your "System Preferences"
click on the "Keyboard & Mouse" preferences icon
click the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab on the top.
Look at all the keyboard shortcuts available.

I'm not sure what you mean? I have never heard of that shortcut having any effect the desktop, nor was I able to find any other reference to it at Apple Support.
Define "messes up"? Does it move stuff? Is it only a partial image of the desktop?

There is also a program that comes with MAC OSX called "Grab"

Taking pictures of your screen with Grab

You can use the Grab application to take a picture of all or part of your computer screen. These pictures are often called "screen shots" or "screen captures."

Open Grab (located in /Applications/Utilities) and choose a command from the Capture menu.
Selection takes a picture of a part of the screen that you select. Window takes a picture of a window you select. Screen takes a picture of the entire screen. Timed Screen lets you start a timer and activate part of the screen (such as a menu), and then takes a picture of the screen.

Follow the onscreen instructions.
To see information about a screen shot you've taken, such as the size and depth, choose Edit > Inspector.

To save a screen shot, choose File > Save. Grab saves screen shots as files in TIFF format. You can use the Preview application to view these files and export them to other formats, such as JPEG.

You were in full screen mode huh?
I was able to reproduce this by going full screen mode in TT.

I have a theory...
If your TT is set to 800X600 in full screen then that is the what the desktop is too. Normally it just goes back to the original resolution when you exit full screen mode within TT. But when you take a screen shot during the time the desktop is at 800x600, it has to rearrange the desktop to fit the image files you are saving to the desktop.

Experiment:
Goto the "System Preferences" and select the "Display" preference icon.
Choose 800x600 and see how much it changes the desktop view.

Solution:
Keep less crap on your desktop.
There is no need to keep anything on the desktop, thats what the dock is for.
For frequently used files, create quick access folders on the right side of the dock. Then they are just one right click away.
Also, make use of the side bar as well. You can drag any file or folder right into the side bar, for convenient access.
Again the desktop should only be a temporary location until it gets put away... Kinda like your desk at home. What a coincidence.

If you think I am full of it and insist on keeping all your files littering the desktop, then you should not be in fullscreen mode when you take screenshots in TT.

Maximize you Mac!
