Is that picture a screenshot? Or a digital photo of the monitor?
If the problem is showing up in a screenshot taken in TT, then the problem is not with the monitor, but probably with your video card. Try opening the case up and blowing all the dust out with some canned air. Also make sure the video card is seated firmly in place.

I'd bet Laggy's right on. Looks like the video card to me. Often the dust-off works the trick

Yeh its a screen shot, I knew it wasnt the monitor as I have two screens doing the same thing

I can still play TT, but only just lol, cant play for very long as it gives me a headache with it flickering hehe. I managed to still win a few games of TS yesturday with mobble and a few other people but I couldnt ;)read thier names soim ready for that money game whenever you are hehe
Right well had a good dust off, of my whole computer but unfortunatly still messed up, seems to be getting worse..... Ive had this computer for a good 4 years now, is it possible that my video card has just packed in? Or shall I have another go at fighting that dust monster! Lol

Sounds like your video card is shot to me. But then I'm no expert.
Looks like it will take month's to take it all off.

Well that could be a number of problems, Does it only happen in TT or general use, How long have you had the monitor (Is it CRT or LCD)
I would check the powersupply to the monitor first and check its connected properly, Next open up your PC and clean out the inside (Everything, not just the graphic card) with what 56k said "Canned Airspray"
If the problem continues then I suggest taking the monitor to a specialist, they may want to open up the monitor to check the hardware inside.
If the monitor is old then I suggest getting a new monitor anyway 17" TFT will do the job.

Very cheap place to buy from but excellent quality. I recommend the Samsung SM-710N 17" LCD Monitor (MO-042-SA) - It has a good response time, looks snazzy, has a good max resolution of 1280x1024 and a good frequeny range.
If theres a problem with your graphics card tell me what you do on a regular basis, this includes the game titles you play (Including thinktanks)
If your a hardcore gamer like me and your on a budget I recommend the GeForce 6600GT or 6800LE, both great video cards for the price and DEFINATLY is more than enough for thintanks. They are priced around £60 but if you need that extra power I suggest 6800GT with 256MB memory with 350MHz Core Engine Clock speed.
If you just play TT I recommend the XFX GeForce MX4000 64MB which is fine for Thinktanks and should improve your framerate quite a bit if your graphics card you bought with the computer is 4 years old. The card only costs £30

Well after my failed attempts of making it work, my dad (whose an electrical engineer) cleaned it out a bit more and tada! Its working again! Yey! Thanks guys for your help, oh and by the way heres some proof to bloob and co who thought I was just leading people in a false sense of security by saying "I cant see!" and then wham!
And yes by my name it does say 12 ;)

Unfortunatly it only lasted about 2 hours. Its not worse than ever, typica lol. Ive just ordered a new video card today so I'll have to put up with it for a little while longer :(

Hey guys,
Im typing this blindly pretty much. Im trying to upload screeny;s as I speak, but I dont have much faith its going to work. Oh and guess what it didnt lol. Basically I came back from playing tennis and when I awoke my machine, the screen was all weird and pixelated and stripy etc. Now I know its not the screen themselves as I have 2 of them doing the same thing. It seems to change patterns and get worse as I do stuff on the comp. Ive tried to fix it myself so far no luck,. Before I send it off to get repaired ( and have to wait weeks to get it back) Do you guys have any suggestions?
