Dan McDonald can not be the ancestor of the McDonalds chain unless he has access to a time machine. He might be a descendent though. But even then, McDonalds didn't make the McDonald clan rich, IIRC. Ray Kroc is the one who built it into the mega-corp it is today. He's the one who made all the money, I think.
