I had my video card fan quit working recently, so I can relate. Are you sure you can't reflash the card? Have you done searches to see if there is some common knowledge and advice out there concerning your card's problem?

I thought my video card went bad and 56k suggested I buy some compressed air to blow out the dust inside the computer.
This worked for quite a while.
Eventually I took the whole thing apart and found HUGE dust bunnies.
Now everything is cool. :)

Sounds like it might have overheated. When my fan quit I started getting a blank screen.

Glad to hear you got it to work. :)

Woot! Most probably an overheat.
That's what happened to mine. I would be in a middle of a game and BOOM! The screen would flash blue and the game would turn off.

Glad you are back up and running my friend.
Great games today !
Not to mention,
that last game was a great come from behind (we were down 5-0 & came back to win it 10 -9)
Victory right at the end. B)

Ty lonewolf and all I still think its overheating I don't hear the fan running what should I do open it up and clean the fan or do you think it is damaged.i took a vacuum and reversed the air with a crevice tool and I thought that would work.

Error type Windows stop error (A message appears on a blue screen with error code information)
Solution available? Yes
What does this error mean? You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly. This type of error is referred to as a "stop error." A stop error requires you to restart your computer.
Cause A video adapter device driver
Computer symptoms A message appears on a blue screen with error code information:

What do I do next?

Word of the wise: Never ever use a vacuum cleaner to dust off your computer. There is always the chance you might fry your system due to static electricity. Always use compressed air from a can.

@ Sas: Did you download a new driver recently? You and I started having the same problems (IE TT wouldn't start) when I downloaded a new driver earlier this week that wasn't getting along with something in my system, even though the Nvidia website said it was compatable. I rolled back to my old driver and things worked again. Unfortunately I screwed about 10 other thing in the process and need to download the Xpack again.

I've got a fever, and the only prescription, is more cowbell.

No it just happened the computer crashed and it said your computer recovered from a serious crash then I downloaded the new driver and it seems to work except in roos when its full..seems like I get 2-3 games in roos then the screen freezes.it also seems that it does it when certain people join with higher ping.very frustrating its my favorite server.so if you see me leave roos all of a sudden you know the screen has froze up.
