You mean the chess pieces CAN'T shoot? No wonder I was banned from the chess boards at the park.... :(
Hey, you just keep practicing.i used to be nothing, and now people tell me im one of the best battlemoders :).dont start training among the best.train against hard bots(make a server, lock it,then put 2 or 3 smart bots against you).if thats too hard, then lower the number of bots.trust me,it'll work.i scored 18 points in team battlemode today.woopeee.
I should make a trainin arena MOD that way all people could train anytime they want agensit BOTS well I still admit I THAT TALKING BOT THING I KILL EM SO MUCH IT'S GETS ANNOYIN ALL I HERE IS
DOH!!!
DOH!!!
DOH!!!
DOH!!!
DOH!!!
DOH!!!
DOH!!!
AND THAT IS SOOOOOOOOO ANOYING OF COUSE... People listen 2 my ACK when I die lol (or BAH)
I was horrible at first, but I've been invited to armies, grew better, and now im actually good. Start out with bots and move up till ur great.
Take a look at this
Just practice practice practice.
I've only had the game for a month or so, and now people get so aggravated with me in scrums they start teaming up on me to try and keep me from scoring and get whoevers second to take the lead. Never works though ;)
Play lots, and keep moving at all times(NEVER CHARGE IN AT SOMEONE)...
The best way to learn is to DO. Also, I don't know that the folks listed above are necessarily the BEST ... They are all good, but best is a subjective term. I've beaten them on the occasional lucky day, and lost on many other days. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the best, I would rank myself at about a 3 or 4.
Want to learn how to drive better? Play a BM game without shooting - stay alive as long as possible (without cliffhanging - you learn nothing from that).
Want to learn how to shoot better? Sit and snipe.
Want to learn how to scrum better? Sit in a game and watch it. Watch the routes the winners take. Learn where the goals show up at (no, they're not randomly placed. Each map has set places where the goal can be, although the order does appear to be random).
I agree with Chaos. When I first came here, I was known as DEMO (scotty), the little demo that could kind of thing. Now that im here, ive become something of a good scrummer (at least everyone I play in scrum thinks so). My advice to anyone wanting to learn the tactics: watch the more experianced players closely, try to copy wat they do. And if that doesnt work, shoot like hell! XD ;)
Hi paisano,
Lol at what Nathan said. Lol lolllllllllll,
Okay about being goood, it all depends on ur connection, ping, moves[keep moving all the time]. And wrongggggggggg never play with bots they will only degrade u. Play with the best outthere, this way u can learn from them. And also try random moves instead of the predictable onesss. Meaning, if the oponnent knows ur rythm of movement they willl shoot before u even get there which ends in a definite HIT [yes always shoot ahead in a direction of the moving tank].
13 :P
THX apollo that helped alot!
(n wonder I kept dying).
Puss
My battle motto is: "If your gonna die,do as much damage as you can!"
It means that if your smoking, turn around and dish out heavy damage. You will die,but you did plenty of damage.
But don't take my advice,I'm not an expert battler.

Go to pref and add 100 bots, make them blue, go up against them as green
Thats wat I did, and people tell me I am hard to beat, or im much better they they are, or other stuff like that
Hmmmm, I should do that. Would sure be funny, one on one hundred. Ick. Scary.
As seen on TV!

Nah just make how much damage they make like 0.01 then when u start beatin them easier make the damage, higher , then higher, and higher ^__^ best way to learn in my opinion
I'm basically a rookie member (been around for a few months) and I learn the best when getting my butt handed to me by the greats. You gotta challenge yourself and always pick the best advarsary avalible to play against. You may (and most likely will) lose horribly for a bit but youll undoubtedly pick up some moves and strategies from the elite players. Soon youll find yourself scoring more points/killing more tanks and youll know you got better. Practice makes perfect
I think a good part of TT skills, is coordination. If you have bad coordination, you'll tear around the map, shooting wildly, like a jackass that had a hot iron to it. XD
But, with at least decent coordination, you can start, stop, and turn in easy motions. You can get some points too.

I m not one of the elite, but I trained the way that UFchaos told here and it is really working. BUT I have to train a lot more.

I've been trying to learn how to play TT by playing with and against the best of you. Still, I find it very difficult to understand what separates the ultra elite players (such as Bolo, JamesBomb and Tank Girl) from the rest of the gang. Obviously, there is something very different about these dominating players, but I don't know what it is. How do they do it? We all understand the rules of the game and see what they are doing and can almost predict what they will do next, but no one seems able to stop them. How much a role does luck play in TT? I've noticed that the best players seem to have a knack for emerging rather close to the flag in scrum on a regular basis. Is that pure luck or is there some skill in that? They also seem to move much faster too! Is it because they use launch pads and hyper pads very well and know how to manage the terrain better than most?
I'm still learning and enjoying it all, so I will continue to play and watch the masters work their magic.
It's a lot like playing chess, only with ammo!
