Type this at the beginning of your.mis file

Datablock ParticleEmitterNodeData(smokeemitternode)

{

TimeMultiple = 80;

};

And put this with the rest of the objects

New ParticleEmitterNode(smokeemitternode) {

Position = "-10.483 -86.8267 125.286";

Rotation = "0.0116031 -0.00690149 -0.999909

86.1322";

Scale = "1 1 1";

Datablock = "smokeemitternode";

Emitter = "smokeemitter";

Velocity = "1";

};

It works the same for rockesmoke and rocket.

187, please dont release the rest of the information involved in this this could result in many uneeded crashes to ThinkTanks mods. I ask it that you please dont its very tempermental things expecialy to modders who are new to modding. Thats all :'(

Ishbuu, we need to talk... YOU AND ME WERE A MOD TEAM! NOW YOU ARE WITH NATHAN! GGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR!

Thursday, January 29, 2004 at 12:49:08 PM

Take it easy with this one people... This can result in HUGE framerate drops if not used in moderation.

Ishbuu, if I hadn't already given this information to Nathan you still wouldn't have any idea how to do it. I'm thru with modding and I have a lot of information to dump on the community before I go. Those of you who are against the sharing of information will just have to deal with it. Please don't give me any more of this crap about it being dangerous for new modders either. You guys haven't seen anything yet. This all goes in the.mis file and won't screw anything else up. Anyway, I'm gonna be saving all of you "elite" modders months of banging your heads against the the keyboard trying to figure this stuff out.

P.s.

The name of this forum is "MODDING" isn't it?

Actuyally 187 I would have a certain torque file was hinting the shell out to me nate just tied it together. I guess you are right but we still have even more secrets few people know.... Anyways people just a warning this could 1) not work even if its the smallest mistake and 2) it WILL result in a GIANT framerate drop. Sorry about my rudeness earlier 187 I wish you well. XD

--ishbuu

Oh and PS people im thinking of making a non editable emitterpack up for download. If anyone is interested in what kind of emitter/what they want in it please reply to me!!

P.P.S I didnt ever bang my head I was VERY close just the smokeemitternode name threw me off.... A lot

1) 187, you only told me the basis of this. You never replyed to help emails, and now I have it working fine.

2) Ishbuu, this is quite complicated to set up, and alot of the "unadvanced" modders won't know where to start.

3) By the time this information is used in every mod, alot of the elite modders will be onto something bigger.

4) Only elite modders will be able to use this information to it's full potential.

So, to wrap things up, I am not worried.

I just don't know about you two. First of all Ishbuu, Nathan didn't tie anything together. This post was copied directly from the email I sent to Nathan. And Nathan, what are you talking about "the basis of this"? I sent you this exact script. I should hope you have it working fine. And as far as me not responding to your email. Well..... Here's what you emailed me

I would think the last post I made answered your question quite nicely. But of course you had to put up a front with you're whole elitist attitude rather than just say thank you. I'm sure you're already using the information anyway. Go ahead and pretend you already knew how to do it cuz I know you didn't. And you know you didn't. I guess that's just your style. Even though I really have no desire to share anything else with you, I have a lot more to post for everyone.

I have a question, do u all use C++? Ishbuu cant answer this question because he will just make it confusing or make me angry

Friday, January 30, 2004 at 3:26:40 PM

Well, all the emitters you see in my mods 187 are edited from what you sent me. So, in theory, what you sent me was the basis of it.

I didn't say thank you? Read my email to you again:

Awesome! Thanks. Just one thing: How do you use more than the rocketemitter, smokeemitter, and the rocksmokeemitter? Havin probs there.

Hmmm. Read the second word.

(P.S. If you release booting technique to the community, I'd hate to know what Bravetree would have to say about it. We don't want everyone knowing more ways to harass people.)

Thanks alot for that M3. And I hate conflicts too, you know that already. So Nathan & I worked everything out, like a couple of weeks ago, We are again allies, even though I haven't seen him around for a while! :( (Nathan told me not to do this, but I feel that I should....) For the most part our whole tiff was my fault, and I do apologize to Nathan, for what happened. I really hope to see him around more soon, and Ish too!

This is kinda old, but im bringing it back, because I have a question. Ok, I put the fist bit at the top, and then I put the bottom bit at the bottom, but now the level wont load(I cant run it as ded, im using it on the target range), so could someone post a little more detailed process of doing this, I got kinda behind on modding since I was grounded for 3 weeks.
