I keep burning my hrimp and I dont understand how to Not Burn my shrimp can somebody please help Me Please and Thank you

I go and cut down a tree pack it up start the fire put my shrimp on and the next thing you know the sign pops up saying I burn't my shrimp.

It's all a matter of luck, the higher your cooking, the less you burn stuff.
