Anyone else notice the misuse and abuse of the terms GJ/NJ/G1/N1 (Good Job/Nice Job/Good One/Nice One)?
While it is important to demonstrate good sportsmanship and appreciation for anyone's special efforts, it is just as important not to over use these terms/compliments. If it continues to be overused, then it will lose its impact and meaning. Far too many players use these terms for freebies or purely fortunate goals. I believe these terms should only be used for truly exceptional efforts...period.

Conversely, I think it's even worse when players NEVER say GJ/NJ/G1/N1! There must be a delicate balance. Saying it too much or not at all are not good for the game. I appreciate it when players compliment non-scoring efforts as well, such as GS (Good Shot) or GJ clearing or GB (Good Block). Those efforts are just as important as scoring, if not more so. For example, Minnow worked very hard last night on my team as he cleared the path to the goal many times for me and killed chasers or blocked defenders for our team. I made sure I let him know that I appreciated his actions.

Hey Pai, As some of you know I don't do too much in-game yaking but I certainly throw out a ty for anyone who gives me the N1 or ty 4 the block. I will only give the N1 or Holy Crap to the goals that make my eyes light up. I don't think the compliments should be frowmed upon though, I think it's good for the game. It also encourgaes new players to get invilved and join in.

@Racer: Yes it does. Its to compliment a person for doing a great job of leading his scrum team to infiltrate and BM the heck out of the other scrum team because they have Area Effect power-ups...only to find out they don't. ;)

OMG.....sooo funny

Further study shows that all the "DA CLEANER"'s that were supposed to be holding all the boomies were slaughtered by the US special forces group "ANTICLIMAX" (better known as the CHAMPS)

HankstaTanksta and Bolo were convicted for shooting their own injured teammates and for unnecessary death to civilians....jangles was imprisioned for being a candian double agent....

Who'd a thought

@gothic Yam
LOL..Thanks for the analysis Dr. Phil. If you read my post, it's not about not getting enough attention or compliments but the total opposite.
My point (which you obviously missed) was that I would rather get less g1/gj/n1/nj's (compliments/attention) in order to make the ones that I do earn worth more. If it becomes TOO common and used incorrectly, then it won't really mean that much. Know what I mean vern?
Guess not... Oh well... Recess is over, time for you to go back to middle school english class....huh?
