I don't know, but the camera switcher isn't very helpful because it doesn't work in Online play. I guess it could help if you play target practice or solo play alot...
If you have MMan's observer script installed TAB -key switches the view to left and right side. The side angle makes gaming only harder, but sometimes it's nice to see the view from side angle. If you don't have that script you can download it or add just the code to main.cs file.
Ekker's camera switcher is a different thing. With it you can change your camera angle to few different ones(eg birdeye view), but it won't work online.
You don't have to let go of one rope before grabbing the other. But you'll have to let go of one if you want to swing forward.
