@ All,

I am curious to get feedback from AC's script. It does the trick allowing you to play TT, however the font size is rather large, and I've heard some people comment that some of the letters don't work when trying to type.

I am sure that there is a way of fixing this problem up. We need to turn this beta version into a more finished version, and stamp out some of these "bugs".

Those bugs are only applied to IMAc I have Windows and no bugs here :)

@ John,

I don't have bugs, but some of those have been reported to me, however the larger font size is something that I am experiencing (Linux), and so are other Windows users (Stan amongst others).

@ All,

AC deserves extreme recognition for his IPJoiner script. This is one of the great moments in TT - being able to join a server when the Master Server is down!!!

Three cheers for Art Crazy!!!

Anyone want to play dash bash around 11?

LGM

? Why are all these posts in bold?

The key thing is a bug that Chilly and Art tried to fix back in the spring. They couldn't figure out how to fix the keybinds. The problem is that the "I" and "U" keys won't work in TT while you have the script installed.

My lame fix was to take out the code in main.cs when I'm not using IP Join, and adding it when needed. This only effects macs as far as I know.

Any scriptors want to try to set up an "if/else" kind of thing so that the keybinds only apply when you are in the server screen?

History of the script:
The idea
The script developed

It isn't working on Linux, I tried the Windows version, I even changed the keybinds.

SK how did you get yours to work?

Tuesday, December 06, 2005 at 11:27:25 AM

@All
I never knew this happened, but the fix I have is made so the GUI will never open while we're in a server... Just after I reinstall I'll test a new fix wich I hope to remove that problem...Then... As the Mac.dso stays the same, I'll put up the main.cs for download, and as Windows changes, I'll recompile it :)

BTW: I can't really test any fix now, because I had to reinstall Windows and now TT refuses to run due to corrupted data. I must unninstall and reinstall, but I need first to backup all the data ;)

PS: John, how did you become invisible? You made it yourself or someone gave it to you? If yes, who?

Wow the script worked fine for me on my pc great job to all that worked on it. I was in at 3:45 EST and didn't see anyone in either of the dash games, but I will be back later. It been 2 days since I have played and I am getting the shakes. Withdrawal is a bad thing.

Tuesday, December 06, 2005 at 12:53:31 PM

@ FoFoFi,

I did exactly as directed.

Downloaded the script to my home folder
Extracted the folder
Copied the files within the folder (there are 7 files) to game/client/scripts
Copied exec("game/client/scripts/IpJoinMain.cs"); to the main.cs file
Saved changes to the main.cs file
Voila all done!!!

Then you need to run TT, and choose to play online, when it says no servers found press ALT+I then enter IP:PORT

Wait! Before this gets locked, can people like nap and Roo post their IP so I can join their servers when this is down again? I would really appreciate that ;)

Tuesday, December 06, 2005 at 6:33:07 PM

No, this should not be locked, just stored away until next time.
