Apple RULES! Tech support is great and all troubles w. The 1.8 models are fixed via SOFTWARE UPDATE!! No freezes, no issues with sleep or screen save, nothing! Over ten years of dealing with Apple products, only one bad machine and they STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND ADDRESSED THE PROBLEM!! Hats off to Apple and their BY FAR AND ABOVE SUPERIOR operating system and computing hardware!!

And a question for all of the Linus Geeks, where ya' gonna get iTunes, iMovie, iDVD, GarageBand, Graphics Converter, etc. On your shareware network? Not to mention EyeTV, RealBasic Pro, or even a comparable.Mac e-mail with an actual functional spam block and the flexibility of multiple accounts! Go ahead and drop your OS in the hopes of a better game, I'll still whoop that ass on my Mac and look better doing it!

Booo Macs stink! PC'S RULE!

I've used all three OSs and I'd state it this way:

I prefer using the Mac whenever possible. Windows is sometimes a necessary evil. Linux is free, usable, and the superior choice for some situations.

@Capn Jordan & Cloud:

Why is it that whenever someone raves about how good a Mac computer is, they have to rave about how much better theres is. Are you thinking that because you have a PC? Because I have a iMac G5, dual processor, and I have had PCs. There is truly no comparison. I was able to move the computer on my own, re-install everything, without even haveing to call Tech Support (which is offered for free). Not only is the software better, but the support that comes with the computer. After having my Mac for 4 monthes, my brother ran into the desk on which it sat, and it fell off, breaking the hard drive (which would have happened to any comeputer that fell 5 feet). I thought I would have to by a new one, but the Mac store that I purchased it from rreplaced it. My old Windows XP PC broke all the time, and I never had it fixed that easily. I could tell that the parts of it were obsolete after I bought this mac. I'll have this mac for years, and I won't have any problems.

Don't talk bad about Macs, when you have not one reason too. Those were both pretty bold statements that I would love to challenge.

Just kidding around for the most part, I know that all of the OS's have their pro's and con's. I was just excited to finally have a few hours to kill and spent it playing and didn't have the machine freeze. I mean no offence to the user's of other systems, just wanted to stir the pot a little. Truth is my butt has been being universally kicked by users of all operating systems, although lately it really does seem the Unix users have been tougher than usual.
Hope everyone had a great feast and a good holiday!

We can get free alternatives. Rhythmbox or XMMS, Helix Player, Audacity, The GIMP etc. And Gmail for email, sure it doesn't have multiple accounts, but you could just send yourself a bunch of invites and open more.

I have no clue what the last ones are.

Too many PC bashers at this forum.

@ All,

I think there is no agreement that both Mac and Linux Desktops are superior to the pest infected Windows machines. There is no comparison between class and buggy desktops.

Mac are a classy machine, however I am a Linux user at heart (even though sometimes they frustrated me being a newbie)!!

I agree, that lLinux and Mac are far better. I still think macs are just great, and if you think that a Dell is less expensive, than its better to buy, than you're wrong. Not only the are mac better quality, they have gret back up, and also have great customer support. Dells are just not good.
