Is it me or are some players 5 times harder to kill than others? I've gone head to head with some tanks & come out on top. Other I go head to head--get killed--find them again & go head to head--get killed...Anyone got an answer?? :S

Once past the learning curve, connection speed (bandwidth) makes the player. The better connection you get, the faster you can react, shoot, and drive.

Arguably, skill and practice are important. Some people are play TT 23 hours per day. Others are just naturally very good.

Lag is a big factor..the other is that some players CHEAT...no names

Lag is an issue sometimes but I think its mostly skill. Some people have no idea what they're doing in a heavy, others liike say, LC50, are very good.

And just in case you're interested LC I switched back to the heavy now ;)

Bolo, how are people cheating? Elaborate.

There's been rumors lately of increased fire rates and invicible tank armor, but I just don't believe it.

I thought I knew a way of doing just that...but it didnt work.

One particualr tank couldnt have these traits. If one does then all others of that type will have them. The only times where people are invincible is when they've lagged out. Ya know, when they cant be killed or when someone has the scrum and they just drive into the fog unaffected.

The server keeps track of the tanks stats, such as armor and fire rate. On a MOD these things could be mucked with. On public servers, all the tanks are the same strength.

So, no some tanks aren't stronger, they are just harder to hit. Having a bit of lag can make you much harder to hit, and last longer. *cough* ACA... *cough*... Man that guy is hard to hit sometimes. You have to shoot your bullets a full tank ahead of where you see him just to get him smoking...

Actually it;s pretty much impossible (pretty much: without making a custom script) in thinktanks. Tank stats are kept by the server.

I think its just down to who gets the first few shots in, I know I've had some good fights with you moe.sometimes think your tank is made of stone, rock hard to kill sometimes.

I hanv't seen an auto-hit hack, that is what normally kills online games. They are fairly easy to spot if you know what to look for. But without a spectator mode it becomes difficult

I agree that it has more to do with lag than anything else. As you said timbo, we've had some good ones as well...you can be tough to hit as well.
