Hi All,

Well as most of you know UF had it's first of the month meeting last night.
I am sure some of you are like so what.

Well thats why I wanted you to come in.
UF passed a Major Rule last night on how it does Battles(meaning 1 event) verses Wars (meaning a race to 2 in TS,CTF & TBM & the first Army o win 2 out of the 3 events wins the war) from now on.

If your Army is considered in the Top 5 Armies,
then UF will only do Wars with you.

If you are not in the top 5 Armies then yes UF will do a single Battle with you.

So the following Armies need to contact LONEWOLF & Dazzle (must be both of us) via email to set up dates and times and what type of Battle you want or do you want to do a War.
1. MA - ?
2. OW - asked for TBM Battle
3. TC - asked for TS Battle
4. DAS - I am sorry to inform you but your challenge to do a TBM Battle has been denied due to you are considered 1 of the top 5 Armies.

Eh? You will only do (WARS) with the top 5 armies, no single battles.

This is unfair because the top 3 best armies are taken and probable will always be top3 no matter what.

1.UF
2.ST/SA
3.ST/SA
4.DAS
5. (I dont know)

So you will be very limited on who you can have wars with...

Why should a Army have the right to advance in ranking when they don't compete in all 3 events ?

Keep in mind the 3 on 3 tournament is going on and TBML. B)

But LW you will only ever experience 4 teams in wars, and 2 of those will always be there (SA and ST)

In other words I think UF are missing out on playing all out wars with only 1 slot left in the top 5.

If this is about army ranking.. It's all silly. Winning a war wont mean UF is number two, it wont mean ST, DAS, or SA are number 1.

It depends on the peoples opinion.

On another note...

I find that top 5 thing to be kinda lame... I'm thinking of just starting up an army myself (when I get my new computer) that's meant to overtake UF. I shall become a quite powerful rebel, mind you. :)

I think that you should expand your horizons on who to war with. There are a few armies out of the top 5 that would still present a challenge. I see that you would not want to have a war with a new army that has no chance at all of beating you. Perhaps you could have a battle with the non top-5 armies and judge if they are good enough to have a war with. B)

but only the armies out side of the top 5 can challenge us to a Battle. B)

This makes it even harder to beat UF. I think I should make an army with a sole purpose of beating UF :P

^ Pointless idea, an army is about helping and learning from each other, not gaining rank.

This rule for UF is quite beneficial since it would be kinda silly to try and take on (in a hypothetical situation) a new army in all three events when they probably haven't been able to refine their tactics enough to take on a force like UF, SA, or whatever... And that's not bragging either. There are a heck of a lot of good scrummers and BMers in UF, SA, ST, DAS, (and whoever was the 5th X/ sry!), hence why they are so well known and so "powerful". %) (makes sense don't it?)

We aren't trying to set up a ranking system where armies win/lose points or ranks due to wins/losses against others. That's kinda useless here... As Lonewolf has said, we only MENTIONED the recognized "top 5" Armies in UF's new War/Battle rule so as to save ourselves the hassle of doing a 3 part WAR with a n00b army (should any challenge us) when really a single battle might be better scheduling-wise and "gaining-experience"-wise.

Those who think it's unfair for us to mention who we thought were entitled to Wars (with UF), you'll get over it.... You can't make everyone happy all the time. That's reality folks.

As feathers said it wouldent make sence to take on a newer army in a 3 stage event.

Before I had daz informe me on "what the heck is this?!" (new rule)

It is like Cassie sais, pure discrimination. What if we aren't a over all clan? So we would have to face UF in all gametypes while we (not to mention ST but in general) are a [fill TBM, TS or CTF in]-clan.
What is the point of that?

For now, ST will not challenge UF, as we had planned due to this [fill in yourself] rule.

PS: for me CTF doesn't even count as a full gametype, as long as we can't host it to train I will not admit it's equality to TS and TBM!

You can't say anything in this world and not have someone say it's discrimination. How about the rules in some armies that their members cannot be in any other clan but just [insert army here]? You can interpret that as "discrimination" if you want.

If you really wanted UF to discriminate other armies, UF could just not battle anyone at all except for 2 or 3 armies. If you look at what Lone, myself, and Choronic have said in our explainations, UF is NOT doing that and most definately never will. Protesting against UF for it making a rule for it's clan (which, mind you, no one else needs to enact) IF ANYTHING is discrimination.

IMO the top 5 armies (in no specific order) should be pleased that UF consider them quality armies/clans. What does a single match really prove? I say not a lot really thats why even TBML has 2 matches per week!!

Look a the recent SA & ST TS match and the issues associated with that, no matter who won or lost both sides seemed to be in disagreement as to who won and why, and what rules were broken. Should you complete the other 2 games all arguements will be invalid (BTW I hope you do get these games completed).

By competing in a war event there can be no arguement be it 2-1 or 2-0, so a team may get lucky in a game it happens it may be you thats get lucky or UF, however over three games there can be no arguement whatsoever end of story.

Man that is just pure rubbish gibber jabba talk!!!!! I know you make mods (and pretty good ones I may add) so making a CTF map is a simple job for someone like you. Get Arts CTF script from SCRIPTLINE and knock a map up so then ST can practise. Ok so its not entirely the same as the -z- version but we all got that problem its not like anyone in UF has those maps or the original CTF script either so no advantages to anyone there. But you can if you have the will to do so, make a CTF map to train on in about ooo let me think 5 mins - in fact I made one while typing this post :P

Making a CTF map is not the problem, it is very easie.
Unfortunatelly, the mac version at least, of the CTF script is bugged.
When you host it, and I have hosted it a lot, it works just fine. But when you aren't it just bugs down your server.
I can see the point of this rule, but unfortunatelly it looks not fair to me. Not to mention discrimination, it just takes away the freedom of other clans.

Gah, this is not my problem, the point is ST shall not challenge UF in its current state. Our TS team is able to go verse you guys, our TBM at this point just is not.

Bugs Bugs Bugs, just move it somewhere else outside the TT folder and delete the dso - job done its gone nowhere to be seen and you can now server bugless ;)

No point in playing just one game type, all armies have strong and weak players at different gametypes. We know the members in our armies that are excellent TBM players but cant TS to the same standard and visa versa. And if you ask me most armies have preferences as to which gametype their army is most suited, some maybe TS some TBM and obviously whichever game your are strongest at is what you will want to go to battle with. Have UF got a weakness in any of the game types? Well you will have to find out :P

However, the reason that armies are challenging UF is to see if they can win, why beacause UF is the No.1 army and unbeaten. So lets say we agreed to a 3 match TBM and UF loose does that mean the winner is now No.1 - OF COURSE NOT it means that they will be the No.1 at TBM only and UF will still be No.1 for TS and CTF. Is this good for the game OF COURSE NOT it just makes things divided with some armies saying we are No.1 TS, and another we are No.1 TBM, and another we are No.1 CTF and on and on and on. In the end not one of the No.1 armies will want to play another of the No.1 armies in the fear trhat they will not be No.1 anymore.

To be No.1 yo have to win at all gametypes. Take boxing for example they have the WBC, WBO, IBF heavyweight championships of the world each of the holders thinks they are the best in the world but to really prove it they have to challenge holders of the other belts to have unification fights. How often do these take place eh? Not very often unless you are Mike Tyson or Lennox Lewis. Why because they are all scared of loosing their No.1 spot. In boxing I believe the only true champion is the one that holds ALL the belts. The same applies to TT, he who is best at all gametypes is NO.1 and holds top spot, not No.1 at just TS or TBM that is ridiculus and would probably cause sever rifts between armies which I trust none of us want as for me this woukld be a real downer as I have friends in other armies :[

So thats why UF will only compete in wars with the top 5 armies, as you are all quality apponents and deserve together with UF to demonstrate skills of whatever level at each gametype, by doing this there are no arguments about the top spot as their will always be a clear winner, with no arguements whatsoever!!

I am sorry you feel that way Sythe and that you are withdrawing you challenge to UF as I personally feel that any games which may have taken place between UF & ST would have been classics - with a UF win of course :P

Another challenge perhaps LW? This time TBM, ive gotten a few newer recruits that are quite good XD I know we will suffer a humiliating loss (again) But we are more of a BM clan than a Scrum, so could it be 4 on 4, lush or frantic maps, and 1 round, right? Cuz we are still n00bs and trying,
