Yeah u get kicked out.
In CTF, you get kicked if you shoot several teammates in a short span of time (-z- can be more specific). I have had a couple of teammates shoot me when I was smoking and there was time to respawn before the next wave of attacks arrived. I didn't mind it, especially since the shooter told me why. It is better to have a fresh tank for defending the flag than a smoking one. However, it's not a tactic that I practice.
In scrum, I've had teammates ask to be shot (out of ammo, stuck on rocks, etc.) but that's the only time I intentionally shoot them. All the other times have to be chalked up to bad aim on my part.
Good question. I'm curious to hear what others think about that practice.

If they are smoking bad, and are no where near the scrum.. I think of it as a mercy killing. %) Often in scrum people will weaken players so that when they get the scrum it is easier to kill them.
I think in a team game esp, battlemode, it helps tyher team, only taking from THEIR score and strengthening the team score. Of course everyone should know what you are gonna do FIRST (-:

When I accidentally shoot a teammate, they kil me 5 times.come on guys, it was an accident.Anyway,HERES A HINT.IN SCRUM,LEAVE THE OTHER PEOPLE SMOKING AFTER THEY SCORE A GOAL.THEN WEN THEY GET THE SCRUM AGAIN, SHOOT THE LIVING HELL OUTTA THEM. %) XD
... U do know evry1 knows that right???
It's good if they are in critical conditon, and far away from the scrum. I do it sometimes...Only when they ask though.

Are there any negative effects from killing your own team members when they are out of ammo or smoking badly, or is this generally a good tactic?
